Just been wondering what happened too the tech2 version of the tristan,
kestrel and other tech 2 bomber class frigates?
Maybe a dev could respond too this.

not b4 the missile nerf...and that seems to be far far away...
and b4 small missiles get there speed upped, there's no reason to put them on TQ anyway...

Any one know anything there hasn't been any mention of the tech 2 versions of the tristan and kestrel for nearly 6 months wth happened too them?

In the Dev Blog, they list a bunch of new ship classes they are going to attempt to release over the year. They also state at the bottom they will continue the release of T2 frigs. There is really only the deepcore miner ships and the bombers left from what I remember. Some of the Gunboats seem to have merged in concept with the assault ships or been replaced with the destroyers. But they might do them too.
Still, a list of what's left to release T2 frig wise would be nice.
I personally would like to see how they handle a bomber. Standard missile launchers and ammo with better missile bonuses loke shield penetrating? Or maybe a new weapon and ammo that can only be fit to this type of ship like the strip/ice miners being fitted to a mining barge.
Will they be big and heavy like the bombers we know today, or fast and tactical like a jet fighter with a small amount of bombs strapped to it?

Well, originally the bomber was going to be on a large frigate platform ... but considering the destroyers out there -look- like bombers almost, (especially the catalyst) the may do use that hull basis for bombers now.
Be interesting to see if they come up with a T2 Battlecruiser class as well.

Ahh... new toys....
Well, tactically-speaking they'd be similar to a destroyer in fitting slots, lots of missile slots, maybe only one or two turret slots at the most, weaker defenses, probably faster and more agile, and large cargo space and enough power and CPU to fit assault launchers.

Last time I saw the bombers were still on the way. Wish I still had the link to the Cal bombers....one is a suped up kest. looks like a kest with the Crows color scheme on it.

Wasn't there supposed to be a Black Ops ship too? Like the Covert Ops, but could warp to items it finds on the scanner. Or was that removed because probes were put in?

Aye they did say once upon a time they were thinking of making a ship to find and warp to people, but they also said it would use specific modules to do it, well we have those modules now
Oveur said around exodus time that they were now considering making a tech II ship(frig) that could use them better, methinks thats the black ops current plan

If the Black Ops class is comming it should do this: everything the covertops does and have a 1km cloak buble, can use ab while cloaked, can deploy CLOAKED probes while CLOAKED... There.. Thats my wish list

Though you can fit a probe launcher on a Buzzard, with good skills. I think that defines 'fear' right there.
Also, the bombs for the Bomber class have been inactive on the market for going on 4 months now.

What's bizarre also is for a bunch of the probes, they cannibalized the thumbnails for the bombs. :/ They're even racial-damage color coded if you notice.
So if/when they do come out with bombs, do they snag back the probe art, or make a totally new set. Either way, I really hope they don't duplicate existing art ... leading some sleepy people to confuse probes for bombs and vice versa.
