If you dont know about MiningBuddy here is a update:

There will be a new Forum and site within 1 week I am a Developer who has contacted the old coder and got permission to take over programming. I will be hosting 0.6.1 and shortly update the 0.8.2 and even the current working copy of 0.8.4

Sorry about the delay but the list of features are still the same list from the last version of 0.6.2
Right now I have updates it with 8.2 with Alloy's and Some Sleeper information.
With version 8.3 it was a small minor fix regarding the update script within Mining buddy.
Version 8.4 was the inclusion of Pear in the base setup of Mining Buddy so you dont have to have a host that runs pear or install it the Tool should work as is right out of the box as long as you have PHP5 on the server.
Upcoming for 8.5 is add salvage into its own section and fix the max size of the cost per item to go over 4 slots.
The site will be updated here in the next day or 2 currently is housed at Mining Buddy New Home
If you have any issues I will post shortly a email you can use to contact me from out side of game and feel free to contact me ingame too.

Well I now have a Bug Forum up and running post any and all bugs/issues/and future enhancement requests in it. You need to register for the forum its the way the reporting tool works (looking at making it viewable for Anon people but posting bugs is required to register.

We tried MB a couple of years ago an thought this long dead (with good riddance), as for our experience with it, it was a bug ridden mess sans any form of documentation and, frankly just to cumbersome to be practical. Running an op with MB made my head hurt and I felt like I had just spent a day running support on a windows 98 system.
No more buisniss on my part.

Well verison 8.2 was bought by wingender by me as his own branch.
Right now I can start making modifications to 6.1 on a free version thats free to all. Its up to wingender if he wants to release 8.2.
If you want things to be updated and development to continue I would use the bug forum to post things and I will work on getting them in slowly but surely.

Mind if I ask you what exactly where the issue you had? I am working on making this application more user friendly with documentation and possibly a help system built into it. Getting rid of the out of date code and pear is my top issue right now.

I am not charging Real Money I am not the one who runs miningbuddy.us
I am only contracted to update or fix his version.
I am willing to work on the 6.1 version but for anything I am requesting you put in Bug/Trouble tickets for both enchancements and issues as I am very busy in RL and figure out what will be done based off what I think I can get done per day/week/month.
I am not asking for anything I do accept donations and I do put paying projects ahead of free projects. I am working on 6.1 but from this point I can not just give out version 8+ with out Miningbuddy.us saying thats ok to do as they paid for the update.
The License and the License holder says that you can do anything long as you keep his copyright in tact. Which includes charging for them.

I contacted the orignal owner and asked he stated I could do what I wanted with the source code long as I just keep his copyright in it.

That wasn't aimed at you, I thought miningbuddy was GPL, but it looks like BSD. CCP may still have issues with someone charging for a project based off of there content.

I'm attempting to set up MiningBuddy, and I've followed the directions up to the point where I set up an admin account. When I browse to my domain (lets pretend 'miningbuddy.sendara.com for now), I get this error message:

This is telling me that you might not be using Pear on your server.... is your server Linux or windows and does it have pear installed on it?

Glad to hear this was fixed with going to PHP5.

Well i have PHP5 and my server has OSX 10.6 as an OS.
I also have servers running Fedora on a hosted account.
Mining buddy works on neither claiming PEAR is not there. I read elsewhere that PEAR is obsolete?
Is it possible for you to port this thing over to some mainstream database connection thing?

funny enough I've started working on my own version of mining buddy...
but a little more "light".
all you can do is
- Create a mining fleet
- Enable the loot logger for easier sharing later
- Create a mining fleet on the "miningbuddy" page with all the setups, for example what role will get what percentage of the yield (85% haulers, 100% Hulks, 85% retrievers, etc...)
- then whoever wants to join just "joins" the fleet with the according ship.
well, after some time the boss of the fleet can close it and import the loot logger log for quick listing of the total yield.
Then he/she can directly see who's getting what.
I'll do an public version if there's interest.

Funny You should ask I have been working on getting a new update to Add many new things to the MB Script. I should have a update coming out for the Community version here in a next few days.

Hey I was playing around with the .6.1 build and was wondering if the lottery was implemented in this version and how to get to it if it was. I've got everything else working on my site but I can't seem to find the lottery side of it.
There are many coporations out there, many are simply shells, others are something more. They look to have substance, structure, and maybe if you're lucky, livelihood. |

Well the lotto was taken out and not many people wanted it put back in so the original programmer never did. I can work on that just submit a bug ticket and it will get put back in one of the future versions.

Looking like Friday about 3pm PST (hoping sooner I got 99% of everything good to go!)
Remember submit bug reports for any issues. I will be making a new Tread when i do post a update that will be maintained by me for help with users and issues but most of the problems that will be patched and fixed will be from bug reports. Top of that a Change log will be posted with issues resolved in each version I submit out.
I will be trying for a update a month right now but If I get more bug submissions and request for enhancements I will push it to 2 updates a month.
