So, I was driving along, when some moronic chav with a firecracker tries to shoot my car with it. Fortunately for me, however, my sig radius was too small, and the firecracker whizzed harmlessly away from me.

My question is, if my transversal had not been so high, and I was facing a more skilled firecracker-wielder, how much damage could I expect a good firecracker volley to do to me? What range can a typical firecracker-specced character hit out to? How fast would I have to be going to avoid being hit?
Answer me these questions, o eve community!

That all depends on what type of firecrackers we're talking about here.
Assuming these hooligan road warriors are a step above your average on ramp camp fodder and are using race ammo. Mexican fireworks have a larger blast radius than the cheaper Indian reservation stock, but are more unstable and increase their signature radius to the Concordian traffic cops. Now if they are really serious about their wanton destruction they'll go for the illegal Chinese import fireworks which carry a bonus to both flight time and thermal damage.

They can cause a crack in the windshield, happend to someone I know.
They can also set off car alarms.
I suppose the big ones can cause fires as well. One went through a living room window in the area I live in about 10 years or so ago. Hello fire department, goodbye apartment.

This pilots know what they are talking about and presented it in a refreshing fashion 
I especially like the differentiation between hooligan road warriors and on ramp camp fodder because I started my childhood illicit activity stream as an on ramp camp fodder on a VA State Route 288 after it paved its way through my childhood stomping grounds. We used projectiles instead of rockets though

this kinda crap happens in my town reguarly, its in the local rag almost weekly. Our scumbags use bricks and rocks thrown from a bridge onto an A road though, instead of fireworks. Oddly enough, it is always at a bridge next to a "caravan site".
i suppose you are unlucky to be getting explosive missiles thrown at you, but the projectiles thrown by the local tribe here seem to have a more focussed impact, and less of a splash radius. i think i'd take the firecrackers over driving under that pikey bridge
