Am the minority here thinking that 24 hours is too long? Would 12 hours be all the OP? 24 hours is an issue if you're using one clone for pirate implants in low sec, then you have to move up to 0.0 later that day to make a fleet op. Can't bring the pirate implant clone into 0.0 unless you really like losing expensive pods. 12 hours would at least give you 2 JCs a day. I'd be happy if they just gave me 2 jumps every 24 hours, regardless of when you use them. Timer starts on the first clone jump. If you wait 24 hours after the first you have 2 again. Is clone jumping really that OP or is the timer just obnoxiously long?

Yes, in fact it should be considerably longer for precisely the reason you state - to make the galaxy a larger place and to prevent people from easily relocating to counter an enemy's offensive at the click of a button.

Got a better idea!!! We should be able to jump in any system we want every hours just by a click! Including wormhole space of course!

I would be more in favour of jumping twice in 48 hours. That way if you want to JC to hisec to get skills then jump back this is possible. offset by a longer wait to do it again. Hell I would even prefer twice in a week rather then waiting 24 hours between jumps. Just my 0.02 ISK. Alternatively you select your Jumpclone type. Either once in 24 hours or twice in a week. That way you can't have best of both worlds.

i want more jumpclones. with all these magnificent implants around there should be more jumpclones available.
Maybe, just maybe it would be nice if you could do clonejumping often than 24h, but only if you are in same station and more like 'swapping' clone? still having same limit 1 clone per station stored.

I'm for the twice a week option. Would decrease skill hassle while still keeping it out of the "oohh I'm attacked at the other side of the universe, let's JC!" thing. ---

if anything, the timer should be extended to 1 Week or something. If you want to move across the galaxy, use a ship. Insta movements should not be a regular method for that.

I like the "twice in X amount of time" idea, but here's another thought.
Make it twice in 24 or 48 hours (can't decide) but also add in a week thing. Lets just say it's twice in 24 hrs, allowing you to get into your battle clone, go fight and come back and get into your skill clone. Maybe add in something that involves side effects if you jump more than 2 times in a 48 hour period, kinda like boosters. Call it "Clone Jump Sickness" or something. Idk. It was just an idea.

If they put in throwaway clones so you don't have to JC to save the implants from a roam or CTA you know you aren't coming back from then a 2 within X amount of time option sounds good.

one every 12 hours is fine it would probably put more pvp in the game, since people can go jc run to low in some frigs pew pew and jump back the next morning i would hate it when its 11pm, im pewpewing in low log out, log in, be in my noob clone and have to wait till 11pm again

Gonna give my usual idea again: Make it distance dependent. Yes for shorter JC period to encourage people to pvp by allowing to use a pod with cheaper implants, but at the same time also discourage fighting several regions from your home which only encourages blobbing by increasing the timer for long jumps.

I tend to favor the "Twice in X time period" suggestion.
The last time I used my JC (to fly cover for a POS removal in low sec) I only needed to be there for about 4-5 hours. Being able to jump back after that op would have been nice, even if I would have been unable to use my JCs for a week.

Even twice in 48 hours would sit well with me. I like how people think "zomg, shorter timer means you can JC across the universe at will!" when it really doesn't.
A: you already can, just pod yourself after setting your medical to somewhere else, wala, you insta traveled and you can do it at will. B: if you want to JC you have to have a clone there, which means you have to go there in the first place. C: wouldn't work in 0.0. You can't set medical to stations you don't own or have access to. D: between jump capable ships, jump bridges, and titan bridges the larger alliances can already go wherever the hell they want. Shorter timers affects people trying to use implants or JC to high sec for skill books more than it affects people wanting to insta-travel.
