Eve is a rather tight community of friends; and even with as many that are on at one time, it feels like a family.
It is with a heavy heart I wish to inform the Eve community of the passing of a exemplary pilot and Evemate, Elkaboom32. I knew him while in FCON; he was a french native that hung out with us english speaking fellas in the US TZ, and was an exceptional pvper and a corpmate that stood out as someone that would do anything to help you out. He was also well known to be the only RRBS pilot to also fit a salvager, and nothing excaped his grasp on the battlefield, nor after the carnage. Funny and good hearted, he passed away on October 4th of leukemia. He never let us know, and with the fun and adventurous spirit he had in-game, it never showed. HE passed away at the tender age of 36.
Elka, all your friends here in Eve hope that there's a clone vat that will bring you back to us; Rest in Peace.

We will all miss him very much. Just wanted to say the special relationship that Elkaboom32 and Nuramori shared was an inspiration to gay gamers everywhere. I imagine he is in heaven right now playing with the young cherbub boys. RIP :(

A very good friend in eve, no doubt will be missed in chats & fleets, funny as hell on occasion, deffinately remebered for the salvage whoring, what can i say, aint no other like him, would never of guessed this would happen.

I remember a couple games I played where people passed away and the game was never the same without them. So indeed, rest in peace.

Maybe if players had less ******ed names these things would happen but I doubt it, the game would eventually be one big graveyard.
To the guy who passed, congrats, you beat me to the endgame, save me some virgins and a seat/bed.

Extremely sad to hear the news that elka passed away, he was a good lad and always quite humorous with his "salvaging" after every engagement which always made me laugh.
Elka was a good friend and died well before his time, so young at 36 yrs old. My thoughts go to his family.
Bon Voyage my friend.. You'll be sorely missed!

Deeply saddened to hear of Elka's passing. Having flown with him frequently, he was as quick with a bit of humor as he was with a salvager. The Eve universe will not be the same.
Fly free, buddy. There will always be a bit of your presence in Eve-space.

I was one of the few who knew a little of Elka's RL hardships, at least in part, although he hid it well, even from the closest to him. I wish he was still here with us, leeroying into whatever situation we threw Elka into. Salvager galore, and Taranis extraordinaire, but most of all just a fuc*ing cool dude... man... i wish he was still here. I was devastated to hear that he had lost his battle, as he fought it bravely with laughter and high spirits, spending the few hours he had left in between hospital stints with the luckiest of his corp and alliance mates and very rarely let the fear enter his voice...
Long live the memory of Elkaboom32, and woe to any that mobilise to remove his name from the memorials that have been set up for him, as i vow to defend them at all cost, despite personal gain or prolonged hardship, as they mean nothing in the face of eternal comradeship, for a man that would put all on the line for any one of us.
RIP Pascal, i wish i had the chance to know you better.
