In my case however I know that the root of the cause is is a solid history of depression with a light topping of bipolar disorder. For me personally there are a few things that have helped me when i come unstuck in my ability to entertain myself. Drugs are always a good place to start, especially if you don't have any serious ties or commitments or financial responsibilities. Pot is a good place to start, but in your case you might want to experiment with uppers. Try different things, see what you like. For a more legal vice alcohol is always a viable option. Nothing like a weekend of binge drinking to pull you out of a funk.
Personally I've always liked music, but, much like an earlier poster related, everything I listen to recently just doesn't seem to make me feel anything anymore. So, in an attempt to recapture the magic I've been teaching myself to play the guitar. The initial joy is going out to different stores and scouring the net looking for the perfect instrument. After that you don't even have to spend the time learning the basics of music, just search the web for tabletures of your favorite songs, and you'll be playing them in no time.
Another hobby that I find that really helps when my life becomes completely disjointed is going to the gym. Several others have mentioned exercise already and I would have to agree with them. It takes a lot of motivation to get started and stick with it, but once you do you realize just how much it can be worth it; and at the very least it gets you out of the house. Personally with my physique I enjoy running. I love the solitary nature of it. To me, running is a form of meditation. focusing your mind on one mundane task so that the rest of you can be free. It clears my mind of stress and anger and angst. I like to listen to heavy, loud angry music- Rammstein is perfect for this- and I just let it all out and run as fast and as far as I can. If you do it long enough you can teach yourself to get to the so called "runners high" which is an amazing euphoria where you feel weightless and like nothing can stop you. But really any activity that gets your heart racing and the endorphins and adrenaline pumping will do the trick. Weight lifting, cardio, swimming, anything.
For a more cerebral activity you can get on to Wikipedia, search any randomness that piques your interest, and then just link from there. Just yesterday I started at gnosticism and 14 hours later ended at Pripyat Ukraine, albinism and harmonic functions. You can even make a game out of it.
To get to the root of your problem however it sounds to me like you've accomplished everything that you can with the life that you are living now. You work at home, spend a lot of time on the web, watch tv, read books etc. You need to expand your boundaries and with them the opportunities that you are afforded. you don't even have to set your own goals. Just put yourself in situations where new opportunities will present themselves to you. Get out the house, get a new job doing something completely different.
If you're in a very dire situation- i.e. there is nothing on tv- and you want to accomplish all of these in one fell swoop, you can always join the military. A new job, exercise and travel. And you definitely won't be bored anymore.
