Evoke now have 12 Provi systems and Solalitas couldn't have scurried away any quicker by the looks of it. So I guess the joke is on the OP.
CVA have 10 systems now, hmm that's annoying - *thathanka gives his Vaga a polish.*

Our towers got RF'ed by a fleet of about 140. We managed to RF a couple of Evoke towers with a fleet of 8. That's not a typo. You all brought more caps then we had total people online. Our chances of winning a fight were 0%. That, as they say, was an old-fashioned asskicking.
The reality is no one in Provi is/was a "major" alliance. The numbers - in either pilots or big ships - simply were not there. As a coordinated group, Provibloc was able to take care of business. Note how long it took CVA to regain a foothold and how long Evoke was held off. But in the end, against multiple large and coordinated alliances, it was never going to be sufficient. Maybe it was the lack of hatred for Evoke the way there was a hatred for CVA, maybe leadership got tired of trying to coordinate large groups of self-interested alliances for system defense, or maybe ... who knows. But it was probably just a matter of time before it fell apart.
I'm sure there is a lesson to be learned somewhere in the story of Providence.

Maybe it was just the fact that the majority of alliances in the region got put there by AAA and couldn't actually ~pvp~ successfully against a retirement home.

That's exactly what had been happening for weeks before you got there but with the addition of NCDOT Provi Fight Club faced fairly overwhelming odds, sorta like Triumverate had against the NC back in the day.
As one of the Proviblock members that remain we would have liked to see Daisho and Sodalitas stick around a bit longer to further test NCDOT's commitment to the engagement but I can hardly blame them for seeing the writing on the wall and wanting to get out while the getting was good.
