Originally by: Skeltem Smartbombs are often called "smarties" (which are, in Germany, a kind of sweet like M&M's). Damage Controls are sometimes referred as "Band Aids" because of the picture. I think of more.
The word "Suitcase" is also used.
CSAA = Capital Ship Assembly Array (Structure that when anchored at a POS can assemble, yes you guessed it, capital class ships like carriers, dreadnoughts, supercarriers and titans.)
Related to this are the terms:
"Baby Titans" = Titan materials going through the assembly process inside a CSAA. "Abortion" = Destroying a CSAA containing a "Baby Titan"
One thing that took me a while to find out as a new player was what a "MAPC" was.
MAPC = Micro Auxiliary Power Core *(Low slot module, increases powergrid by a small fixed amount (9-10 pg), only used on Frigate and Destroyer hulls.)
Edit: Almost forgot, Smarties are not only available in Germany you know? -

I don't know anybody that calls a station a POS. A station is a station and POS is reserved for control towers. BCU is something of an annoyance now. They used to be "Ballistic Control Unit" and were later changed to "Ballistic Control System". They acronym stayed BCU although there doesn't seem to be any harm in calling them BCS either. What drives me nuts is when people use acronyms that simply just do not apply. Like OG...people seem to use it a lot in EvE but not a single one of them seems to know where it originated or what it actually means.

hmm... it has tempest and typhoon but not hurricane? strange...
And I'd love to help by extending the so-called "wiki" but since it's not editable by the public it will always remain mediocre at best. If CCP want to change this then I believe there is this strange homepage... I believe it's called something like "wikipedia"... I heard they're quite good. Maybe not only steal their name but also their core concept? ___________________ "It was mentioned by CCP that the data does not seem to support that polished quality sells better than new features."
