When I grind up enough corp standing to install some JC's , will jumping cause me to lose the booster effect?

Edited by: Chiana Moro on 22/11/2010 13:33:29 I have no experience with boosters, but if they work the same as implants, then yes. The new clone with not have any "augmentations" - you need to get all that for the new clone. BTW, there is a shortcut to jump clones. There are a few jump clone services out there in EVE. Corps, where you by joining briefly can get a clone for free or a smallish fee.

I am aware of the services and that you lose normal booset effects and need implants in your new clone. My problem is that the cerebral accelerator is a very specific kind of booster and I have not been able to find the answer yet.

Thank you for the replies.
A cerebral accelerator is a new item that adds +3 to all attributes and other effects for the first 35 days of your new character, and takes the place of a booster. However, this effect can be lost when you are podded, as per normal boosters. A number of people in the forums suggest that there is the posibility that if you partition this that you may recieve it back to use again.
Thus JCing may lose this effect, this is what I am trying to find out. This booster lasts a maximum of 35 days you see.

If you lose the accelerator due to being podded you can petition for it back again (within its active period). If you leave an implant behind and jump to a new body then that new body will not have the implants your old one did. You will, therefore, lose the booster effect until you jump back to your old one again.

Edited by: Dante Cowboy on 23/11/2010 00:32:32 Does the level of the implant affect how long we get into a new jumpclone? I heard that a +5 implant takes longer?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking here -- the wording is confusing. Implants have absolutely no effect on jump clone longevity or timers.
To the OP: The cerebral accelerator is only installed into one body. Jump into another body and any implant/booster effects stop, including the cerebral accelerator bonuses. Jump back into the original body, and the bonuses take effect again. If you really wanted to, you could buy another cerebral accelerator for the second body. You can do this with normal implants too. ----- Ambush. Hit and run. Gank before tank. Speed is life. |

It's not possible to grind up to the standings required for JC's in 35 days.

you don't need to grind if a) your corp already has standings b) you use a JC service c) you have another method of getting JC --

I didn't say there were not other ways , but the OP specifically said he was going to grind standings. Can't be done in the time from char creation - 35 days. So the OP is setting off on a wasteful enterprise is my point. If he wants JC, join Estel Arador's Corp.

If you're grinding sec status on your own, and not using a JC service corp, I imagine it's hard to get the 8.0 standing with the time frame that the accelerator works.
That being the case, it's an implant, it's effect pertains to your active clone.
