having some decent PvE
seeing macros tears, as they get popped because they lack the brain to jump away from an OP NPC
hoping that incursions also happen in null sec, and watching PvP tears. (will blob lag affect them, because i don't think it will)
PvE tears because they tried to bring in their wildly expensive ship only to watch it melt
ok tears from stupid people in general.
the increase in ships sales because of people not paying attention.
a PvP feel in a PvE setting
new ships to fly, but i will miss my salvage dessy
you know, i am really happy about this new expansion in general

So I get the general feel that the Eve community is most looking forward to Sansha NPCs killing carebears and macroers. I think we're all on the same page. :) -omg-

I look forward to using the incursions as "terrain" in high-sec warfare (which it seems I'm stuck with for a bit). ---

Rest is either crap, or something I'll never use/do.

EVE needed more dynamic NPC content, I think this could be fun :P
Anyone remember that one mission that made npc-pirates attack the station of the quest giver?
Needless to say, i'm looking forward to incursions.

I think to many people expect Sansha incursions to be a huge deal to high sec players when It really wont be that bad.. As for Macro miners..they will simply find another system to mine in. Sansha belt rats wont be THAT strong in high sec anyway...otherwise new players will have no chance in hell at doing anything for themselves. Thing I am most looking fwd to though is the character creator.

That's not the case from what I saw on Sisi a while back. I'm not sure if they've rebalanced the damage or not though. Noobs will just have to escape the constellation while an incursion is going on, or learn to fight with everyone else.

If they are too strong even in 1.0 systems though it will just drive new players away from EVE in my opinion, I like the challenge and all but making it too hard for new people who are just trying out EVE will only make them decide to not stick around. Will the Sansha be camping gates in high sec systems?

2) rocket fix
3) was looking forward to the plex for remap, now, not. Maybe in 6 months to a year I can have a Zeolot of my own and can run down noobs and be very angry at the possibility someone newer might get 1/2 my skillpoints in less time than I did.
I kid, a little. There were some very good slippery slope arguments. But the CSM is overwhelmingly biased towards vets.

Not going to happen. Lowsec incursions will be run by lowsec residents, or they won't be run at all. Probably not at all, usually, unless someone really doesn't like the cynojam. It's suicide in any lowsec system you don't have locked down. Highsec bears sure aren't going to start going to lowsec for this.

This. I can't believe this isn't in at least the top three for most people on this thread. It's only been mentioned like twice.
It's huge--imagine not being able to CTRL+click to lock a target now. I know, it's painful to think about--that's how we'll think of everything before the new keyboard shortcut system. I think this is the single biggest improvement to how the game is played.
It boggles my mind how long this took, but I'm happy it's finally being added. -----SIGNATURE-----

Indeed. The moronic panicky slippery-slope alarmist majority has spoken, and therefore we can't have nice things. Jerks.
Sure we can. Therefore, crap like "I pay not to be bothered by game mechanics" is kept away from the game.
You mean like "I pay to buy an already trained character" that we already have ? Or "I pay to buy anything else I want in the game" we also have ?
If they wanted starter attributes to really mean something, they would have kept the "no attribute remap" status quo of two years ago. The reason behind the ARBITRARY one-year interval between remaps was so that attributes would still mean something, while making choices "cost" you something, so you won't be tempted to remap for every skill change (thus rendering the whole attribute system completely moot). So the only question remaining is what kind of cost a remap should have. The "cost" of one year seems not just arbitrary, but also quite awkward, especially considering the median (or is it average?) account age is well under one year.
I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to remap attributes any time you want if you pay the necessary price IN ISK, and ideally that price would be adjustable based on how many others remap... and while you're at it, you can make it so that it's an ingame token that can be purchased with ISK instead of paying liquid ISK directly... hey, why not tie it to a PLEX, so that CCP can make some money from it too while you're at it ? And that's what PLEX-for-remap would have been from a practical standpoint. There is no slippery slope start, there is no unfairness, it's equally beneficial to RL-rich and ingame-ISK-rich people, it gives an early "out" of a bad situation for people that for some reason slightly screwed up, for a price that's not too low but not prohibitively high either.
If anything, this is in my book a classical FAILURE of the CSM, because they (just like RL politicians) either also believe the wrong things or bow down to the opinion of the masses. This should have been an executive CCP decision with absolutely nothing discussed with the CSM, just like they don't discuss issues like "why does the game cost 15 USD or 15 EUR depending on where you are instead of the whatever-is-local equivalent of fixed Icelandic Kronur rates plus appliable taxes" or "this is how we spend money in advertising and promo-making".
No, "PLEX for remap" is NOTHING like "pay RL cash to ignore game mechanics", it's "pay either RL cash or ingame ISK to temporarily relax a formerly strict ingame mechanic"... which is something else entirely. Other than the complete knee-jerk reaction of which yours was a rather mild case compared to that of the public at large, there's no good reason to NOT have it : overall, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. But the angry mob has spoken, and primal fears beat any reason, and that's ONE huge drawback that basically obliterates the balance of benefits and drawbacks which would have otherwise heavily suggested it should be done... so now we don't have it.
If they would have said "all free remaps are gone, you get to pick a set of attributes at character creation, and all remaps are ONLY made via a direct payment to CCP" (not getting PLEX involved at all and removing all "natural" ways to alter attributes), then yeah, THAT would have been something I would have been opposed to, but it would STILL be CCP's exclusive purview to make that particular decision, NOT the CSM nor public opinion.

As one who takes pleasure in flying Sansha ships and making rocket chains, Incursion is of course going to be a massive disappointment due to Sansha suddenly turning into a faction of painful turds. Were they not bad enough already CCP? Do we have to add insult to injury, while increasing the falloff of AC's to "balance" them with pulses while you simultaneously nerf Scorch? Really, why don't you just make a devblog about how you love Cartel and everyone should fly it, get it all out there. :/

The only thing I was interested in was removed(plex for remap).
new portraits - meh
new supercarrier - OH THANK GOD MORE SUPERCAPS JUST WHAT WE NEEDED AND IT LOOKS LIKE ****
moving faction items to market - thank you ccp we have too many careers in this game, yay for removing contracting as a viable income source.
keyboard shortcuts/fixes for things that have been broken for far too long - ok, but nothing really interesting.
Crossing fingers and hoping that incarna makes up for this lackluster expansion.
