Hi there,
Was wondering,if I put some illegal boosters in an iteron cargohold which I put into an Orca's ship bay, will custom majors detect the illegal goods?
Have a nice day

items in an Orca's corp hangar cannot be scanned
i guess that ships inside the orca work in the same way

As far as i know all you are allowed to store in a ships cargohold (that is in orca¦s ship maintanace bay) is ammo.
Anyway not sure what happens when the boosters are in orca¦s corporate hangars which are unscannable for other players.
Good luck testing the quality of scanners from customs with a 500m ship though.

You dont get fired upon by customs if they catch you, just fined some isk and maybe the items confiscated?

Anyone can confirm please? Would be great.
edit: you get fired upon if you refuse to pay. In this case, better pay ^^

The usual procedure as I have experienced personally, a message appears on your screen stating that you will be shot if you don't jettison the drugs... you jettison the drugs and you are free to go, which was exactly what I did. What you can do is, get a cheap t1 ship, carry only some boosters so you don't lose much when you drop them, put 1-2 boosters in cheap t1 ship and if you get warned by the customs, launch the ship and fly away safe. If no warning arises, then next time carry them all in the same way... |

My personnal experience is that a warning message appears asking you to pay fines. If you accept, your ss is lowered, you pay money and your illegal goods are seized. If you decline, you get killed.
But the question is: is it safe with an Orca?

There will be a mass test tomorrow on SiSi, I believe. 2 mil free SP for those who participate. Lol. Worth the effort to figure it out. Also 40k unscannable cargo space = useless? LOL.

Well, as above poasters say, they shoot if you don¦t jettison the drugs. Never tested it, but the last i want is to test this in my orca (on TQ).
Maybe the OP has the guts?

Can confirm that Orca's corporate hangers, ore holds, and ship maintenace bays are un-scannable. Tested it on myself a few times, and numerous times have flown through Jita with billions in those holds and been scanned a lot but nothing has happened. Also, items in those holds will not drop if the orca is destroyed.
From what I've heard, custom's uses the same cargo scanners that players use, so the same rules would apply.
If you want to move illegal goods, either get a really quick ship and cross your fingers, or use an orca.

You can only put charges into the cargo hold of the ship you are going to store into the Orca's ship maint bay. So you will not be able to store boosters in the iteron then store the iteron in the orca.
You can transfer as many illegal items as you chose in the orca corporate hangar. You have 40K m3 to do this. Ive done it numerous times and nothing has happened.
Good luck.

Yep ive done this too, the Orca has come in very handy for transporting drugs etc. Put them in the corp hanger and off you go.

Got a feeling drugs count as charges, though not 100%

Crash etc, are they considered the same as the boosters? I messed up trying to run some gallente missions quite awhile ago. I looted all the cans from blown up buildings, had crash, blue pill, and w/e. I never got told to jettison them, later, when trying to figure out how I lost rep with Gallente, I checked the standings log, it said I was fined, SOME of the stuff was confiscated, and I lost some security status. (aparently i flew around for a bit, and got nailed at every gate for the infractions...lost a lot of standings, as best my knowledge, I probably had it on me untill it was all confiscated)

I came out of a WH forgetting that I had blue pills in my Tengu's hold. I jumped out of lowsec into highsec first, so didn't get a message, but I did get the message going to the next highsec system. At this point I wet myself, as I did not want to get my Tengu blown to pieces. I carefully read the message and accepted the penalty, agreeing to have the pills confiscated. I then jumped back to the original highsec system, next to lowsec, only I got the same message again, which I accepted after checking my cargo hold to see why I still had the pills. Even after accepting the message twice, none of the contraband was confiscated, so I jumped back into lowsec and merrily went on my way. Lost a bit of ISK and a standing that wasn't my mainfaction, so no real worries.

im pretty sure it isnt a concord insta pop, & any Tengu/Golem can tank these ships & blow them up. they do hit harder than regualr mission rats, but nothing these ships cant handle.
i tried it on SiSi, they just kept coming after i blew the police to pieces. I gave up shooting them & jumped. Tho i did take lots of hits on my standings

You are not attacked by CONCORD if you choose to keep the drugs, you are attacked by the faction customs ships... which can be tanked easily.

lol! You people are evil Your orca stands a random chance of getting stopped by customs, seeing as you can't move stuff from corp hangar to cargo hold when the customs dialog appears & you can't jetisson stuff directly from corp hangar ... your orca goes boom.
Leave booster hauling to the pros.
