I've always wanted to get into EVE's fiction, but I've always found it so nebulous that it's hard to figure out where to start from. I'm read most of the chronicles, so what should I do now?

Depends what you want to do with it.
If writing is your thing, if you have read the chronicles and i suggest the scientific articles as well - you have a good base for starting to delve into player-created fiction and awesomesauce stories.
If your interested in RP drop by the ingame channel "OOC" and the Backstage forums and the RP community will be more than willing to help you out finding a path for your character and/or any queries you have.
Or, just enjoy the immensity of the game and the understanding of events that transpire around EVE and just continue to enjoy the game as it is, just with more depth of understanding.
That being said, its entirely up to you and of course they arn't the only 3 options around :) nor are they mutually exclusive.

I was in the same position you are in around a month ago, I had a story running around my head and wanted to try to tell but I didn't know where to begin. After a week of indecision I eventually just sat down in front of my computer and started writing. It didn't matter that the story changed or that my grammar/spelling was awful, what mattered was that I was writing. I suggest you start writing now and worry later about where to post the story.

I have been collecting the bits of lore found in the game and not the chronicles.
Check the link the the Lorebook in my signature below.

I'm just trying to 'get into' the fiction because I'd like to enjoy it.

This looks like the appropriately titled thread...
I'm trying to "get into" the fiction too, the back story has always interested me, but I've never done anything about that interest. That said, where should I start? I haven't ready anything Eve Fiction related, so it's all new to me.
It seems that most people start with the chronicles, but there's a lot more too, like short stories and of course the novels. Does it matter which category I start in, or would it make more sense to start in one or the other?
If I start with, say the chronicles, is there an order to them, like a timeline? Same for the short stories?
Thanks for any info you guys can give.

Well, seeing as how I wanted to ask a similar question, I might as well ask here instead of posting my own thread. I've been wanting to learn about the sleepers and have no idea where to start, I know fair bits and what not. I'm merely looking to understand what the community understands so far and what the community doesn't
