Both do not work, I have attempted on two seperate Computers. Both running Win 7 64 Bit OS. Full install using Client Download off site ALWAYS appears corrupt. The Repair tool attempts to take over, which is bugged. I am at this point now using the repair tool Update on the tool to see if that will fix the issue.
I've played this game for a lot of years and almost always had issues when installing a new OS and firing up the client installer on here. Almost always corrupt installs (On Several different rigs, and several different locations and networks).
Maybe somone can look into this finally as this is getting a bit much.

Ok to confirm, updating repair tool left me with the game trying to patch the entire install, which froze at 81%. Now the Patched repair tool is operating the same as it did prior.
Eve is the only client software on the entire computer to have any issues on install. All drivers, software and firmware are up to date. Have several other games installed that work great. All drives are fresh off of reformat.
Going to try to load an installed copy of the game and see if the patcher can get things working. Or if an old client can be found on a friends computer.

I have had similair problems
- Downloaded the client three times in Windows XP 64 using two different download managers.
Downloaded the client twice in Ubuntu Linux using two different download managers.
All 5 downloads came up with the same problem regardless of which operating system i tried to install them in. after about 80% unpacking the installer would tell me that the download was corrupt.
I am in Virgin Media cable broadband and have never had a problem like this before.
In the end I solved the issue by signing up for a 2 week trial account with Steam and downloading the client from them, then went to the steamapps folder and copied the Eve installation from there to my normal Eve folder. =================================================

Turns out the way of solving this is the same and only way you have and I have solved this issue before. I didnt bother with steam though. Used the installed client off of another computer, copy and paste folder to appropriate destination and guess what. Works on use of exe file. The online file source has an issue I'm thinking, Hope the dev's or somone in data management can check the quality of the file soon.

Having the same issue.
Been running the repair tool for 2.5+ hours and still going with no idea if the same file is being downloaded repeatedly.
Some help here would be nice, as copying from another computer is not an option for me.

Crash, try usung the Steam client install, It might be your only option. If you do get it to work properly for an install, keep a Client install on a portion of a seperate drive, as this is a repeat problem for me.
I had kept a fully downloaded install file. It wasnt corrupt prior to trying to install, but when I tried to use for my new config it was. Removed all info and from registries but it didnt help when I tried to use the install off the site.

Just a thought, if you uninstall all local data of the eve client and remove the registry files. Try using the Steam trial install to install the game, just take the install files after and install to a seperate folder so you dont have to use steam. Your paid for account is as simple as just logging in.
One the files are corrupt Ive found they stay corrupt. Finding another source, a local friend with a working install helps, or if you have one that works.
If this helps you at all please let us know.

I wont be able to provide any logs on my end of it all. All I would get is "File Corrupt", when trying to install program. Using both Online and Offline installer.
When attempts were made to use the repair tool to fix the problem, it ended up being in a loop between 3 file sizes. One being the missing amount, which was the game install file (2.56GB) and two other files (Apprx 71mb + 6.4mb) Would complete scan, try to download, install, repair, but was in a loop process. Attempted a repair of the repair tool using the link in the forum on IE9beta, and in one instance IE8 Full. Repair tool was fixed after download and install of patch. I attempted to use the repair tool as an installer as previous attempts to run the program only froze. When using the repair tool as an installer it began to download the file properly but ended up freezing at 87%. After restarting the program to attempt a second run, the install tool acted the same as it had previously done so, working in a loop and doing nothing. The load out logs on the info for its status showed that as well. When attempting to fix the repair tool a second time file would not download properly and only came back with a corrupt message.
Abandoned hope of using the online, offline installer and repair tool as I knew that I could load a complete copy of this game from a friends computer, it worked without an issue.
Hope this helps.
