I played EVE 3 years ago for maybe 2 months and quit. Recently I resubbed to give the game another try. One of my problems is many people dont take me seriously when I have questions because of the age of my character. I get a lot of "lolz" and "nice troll".
So, I have 3.1 mil sp and the solo play just is not working. I barely got thru the shields of a Rifter in my Catalist before escaping with less than 50% to my hull. Not to mention most of the ships I come acrost in 0.0 and lowsec are better ships anyway so there is definetly no way I can play alone.
Why am I posting? I'm looking for an active, mature, newb friendly corp with a heavy focus on pvp. I have no preference to pirate or anti pirate. In past mmo's I played support classes so ewar/taclking is appealing to me, though dps would be cool too. I live on the US east coast so anybody active in or around that time zone would be cool as I'm on every night after 9pm till around 12:30 am.
So if anybody knows of a good corp I would be a good fit to please let me know or send me an eve-mail. Since most people ingame cant trust that I'm really a newb I felt it necessary to prove it.

If you want to learn about all aspects of the game I would suggest EVE University. They teach newer players the ropes and do a little bit of everything. They even have classes.
If you want to learn about PVP then RVB is the Corp you are looking for. They are more head to head with rules but you will pick up the mechanics.

Edited by: Shaalira D''arc on 26/11/2010 01:31:09 Welcome to EVE, and take your time finding a good corp. Remember that you can always leave if you're not having fun.
Not sure if anyone has suggested this to you yet, but you can try EVE University. I've heard that they have a bit of a backlog in recent recruitment, so you may have to be patient if you want to be a student there.
Edit: Alara is too fast!

Sons Of 0din, take a look, we sometimes overlook the less than 5 mill sp thing if the pilot seems a decent enough guy :) Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing. |
