Spinal, can I please join mercenary forces? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..... I've done a lot of pvp so far, but I never knew you could do it INSIDE a station too... please let me join and teach me how to do that    |

great corp, althought for the people joining id like to give you a word of warning, when draximus cane is taking a shower with you and you drop the soap, dont bend over to pick it up

Confirmed. While I hold no love for some of the members of MF, there are some guys in this corp with a lot of heart who know what they are doing and have been doing it for a long time. When they do decide to fight, they don't do it half way.

Mercenary Forces is about fighting with and against other players. The glue that binds us together, its the kick we ocationally get when warping in to a force that is equal in capabilities on paper, and then trying our best to win.
Everyone who fights against other players in this game knows just how difficult it is to get into those sorts of scraps. The odds are that one side is superior in numbers and strenght, and then one side will have no choice but to retreat to a safer position and await...
Some people in this game seem to thrive on yapping along about people docking, logging off, or "safespotting". As a member of Mercenary Forces you are expected to apply your head to finding a way to fight, despite the odds.
Having said that, there are times when you will either find that attacking is impossible without loosing all your ships and not even getting one single hostile ship.
Sometimes it is the other way around, we find ourselves outnumbering the targets to a degree that negates any chance of a proper, stand up fight...
Sadly that is the nature of "PvP" in EVE. Most "kills" consist of "ganks" where one side completely overwhelms the other, but on a rare occation, you may find that the odds are even, and the battle can go either way, and then it is the skills of you and the group that determine the outcome...
In MF we choose to fight whenever possible. That does not mean we just throw ourselves at anything, but it does mean that we dont give up straight away, we do the math, consider our options, try to find a way to gain the upper hand despite the numbers.
Anyone who feels the need to do the whole "you are newbs, you dock and log all the time.."-routine is merely pointing out:
a. the obvious - people wont fight if there's not even a remote chance of fun
b. that they are themselves complete novices, and have given little thought to the hows and whys of fighting other players
c. that they belong among the ranks of Landlubbers - potential targets, bottomdwelling scum, itellectually inept retards, whos mental abilities are streched to the very limit when trying to operate their PC.
d. that they are genetic waste. Substandard specimens of barely human origin.
I short, they are nothing. THE ONE major reason these boards need a "block" function...

Woot .mf. are the uber the other night in pf- wrekaged lol npcing wile camping a gate :) man we had some fun the some guy from soldine drop 80mil in warp bubbles and loggs off lol sytayed up half the night camping very little no one really showed up hehe .mf. is great bunch of guys

One thing not mentioned about our corp despite the name "Mercenary Forces" implies we are mainly mercenaries that really isn't true. We mainly fight other corps for fun not because we are gettings paid to do so, despite the very rare actual contract. If this sounds like fun please feel free to put in an application. |

Ignore the flame tards posting here - MF are a great bunch of guys, if you wanna get into PvP - This corp has fielded some of the coolest PvP players it's been my honour to fly with.
The banter is cool, and all they demand is your need to blow stuff up. They got me so into frigate warfare and brought me up from being a n00b (in the Merc Frigs, and later Merc Forces days) that's almost all I've flown for over a year.

Possiable recuits should ignore the flames nad give MF a shot.
MF are working to rebuild their reputation and their corp, if you like PvP and are willing to take up the challenge to help rebuild a great corp with some very good members I would suggest giving them a try.

MF has had many faces since I "faced" them in their first enaction (M. Frigates). Grim, Drax, Omri and others and me and my corp had a blast learning the ropes of PvP.
They have grown bigger and with that comes the occasional retard that forgets that it's not about telling how big your ***** is in local, but about having fun and blowing others up :)
I'd give MF an overall 6/10. The "core" of the MF heart I'd say 8/10 easily :)

* = Good target callers on teamspeak
** = I had a safespot which had a kestrel fitted to remote repair ships, Falzone busted me in the kestrel repairing my insured un-occupied raven, which I actually JUST managed to hop into before it got popped (insurance money claimed).
*** = Fought one of their members 1vs1 outside ours and theirs HQ. 4 MF battleships just sat there and watched.. thing is, they never said I could warp away when the fight was over [x_x]
