Don't justify destroying what someone has worked for using this sort of logic.
There is nowhere anywhere I have seen that mandates you being in 0.0. IF you cant handle the pressures of it, you dont belong there.

I believe the weak pretend to be strong while being scared, the strong pretend to be meek while being forceful and Shinra pretends to fight while being logged.

Edited by: Reverend Necrona on 13/01/2005 21:38:11 Attack BoB?
VOTF wanted a home, Fighting bob would sure make a helluva campaign true enough, lots of fun. But they'll put up too much of a fight but time is not on VOTF's side. They've just uprooted themselves from their space that they've lived in for close to 18 months now, and a long and grueling fight with BoB for territory is not what they want. They want a home, and quick.
Want the truth? Ok yes they attacked you because you are weak. Of course they did. You have good space and bad organisation. Eve is like a starcraft Free For All. All the expansion areas are taken, you need one, you go for the weakest. Called strategy.
Now stop smack talking and defend your home. You won't win any favours by whining on the forums. Reverend Necrona |

What would make more sense from a strategical point of view would be taking out F-E and stay close to home. NORAD with their smacktalk would see themselves out if and when BoB moved down through to get to FA, whereas they'd be less likely to head over to Geminate.

What are you suggesting in that reply as a response to mine? That I don't know how to play the game because you guys log all the time or... I'm unclear on how your log tactics constitute a more effective play experience than someone elses form of play?
Let me take a stab at it, to humor you though... or you may log from forum warfare as well.
According to you your manual tells you to get 10-20 of your buddies together and organize a fleet. Then run, balls to the wall, into enemy territory and all log 5 minutes after you reach the same system as the enemy fleet.
Does your manual also tell you what to do while logged? Does it include going to the forums and posting? Does it include playing another game?
*flips aggresively through his manual*
Mine doesn't have a section for "How to log off and rush to the forums to claim you are great." Could you tell me which page please? ------------------------------------- // The views expressed by this poster are not the views of the poster's corporation, alliance, planet or television network... but they should be. |

Attacking us at this time wouldnt make sense as expplained since the chance of getting a (swift) victory would be non-existent.
Now NORAD, you chose to remain weak and ally with FA. You haven;t shown any strength lately. As such you make a prime target of opportunity even for a group half the strength and size of what you currently face.
Tbh, i'd say join FA en masse if you can and get out of the way. But that's just me. _______________________________________________

We sent a frigate into NORAD space for diplomatic talks about us moving in. We never heared again anything of the sent Frigate. We came in peace and with open arms searching for a home, to NPC hunt and mine a bit.
But NORAD answered with their guns and we are now only in a defending position. Our Codex force us to do things we regret, but had to be done or our faith into each other will break.
I regret all losses on both sides, but we havent began this war. /Sir Molle mode off
Or in short term. Your stations belong to us. You are allowed to mine and NPC hunt, if you refine at our stations for a small, but fair fee.
Dont waste your BS, you can for sure get a deal
That was a poor Molle rendition tbh. It lacked the sheer arrogance and pure evil that emanates from the Man's posts. You were much much better in your homemade webcammed rendition of American Idol...
As for my personal take on NORAD, they shot themselves in the foot a long time ago, when they first failed to keep BNC interested in their home affairs, and subsequently backed the wrong horse in the Nemesis vs TheMM episode.
As an interesting follow-up to the current situation, I'm curious to see how VotF / R-K will deal with their new neighbors CE. An explosive "mÚnage Ó trois" if there ever was one, considering past and current events...
See the thing is NORAD flip flopped they would tell THEMM they were going to back them up,then didn't and said they would let NM back in,but would deny it, then when THEMM left cause they were tired of NORADs indesions. They aren't bad guys, but their fleets are plagued traditionally with disorganisation and newb mistakes.
BNC left cause CR no longer felt like home, they had spent enough time away making friends within BOB by fighting so I doubt they want to be brought up here.
NORAD made a few internal mistakes, not siding with anyone out right in the NM/THEMM civil war (which started over NM not liking the fact we had a few Ex-CA and pirates in the corp) and not mending things with BNC sooner.
GL to bohsides. Hope NORAD doesn't turn into the next CFS.
And the VOTF/FE friendship is part of the reason FE joined CA in the first place way back when (If I remeber right).

Don't justify destroying what someone has worked for using this sort of logic. If you guys truly valued the PVP aspects you would have attacked BoB, so don't act like big bad thugs unless you want to attack those that WANT to be attacked. You guys attack and defeat the entirity of the OTHER war-hungry alliances and you'll earn respect, but there's no other way to be considered the best but to beat the "best."
Play your game the way you want, but don't slight the way others play it as "inferior" when their form of play is just as valid as yours. Choose to play with the folks who want to play the way you do and you'll get more respect, and less flames.
Lmao i had this argument with a corp m8 the other day you know people can play the gamer they way they like but when you down side the pvp side of it is just as bad down siding the mining sidfe of it you cant have one without the other

Please don't presume to know what motivates BNC decision making Lucian, you're a ways off the mark on a few assumptions there. Our leaving NORAD was the culmination of several months planning and steady progress towards a set of goals that once met allowed us to cut free.
Anyway, we'll stay out of this little ****ing match thankyou very much, too many BNC know far too much about NORAD's history, structure, people etc. and have far too much personal history there to be getting dragged into this thread.

Oh and again when yer corp would leave for any reason ... can i ask you again why you not attack CA anymore ? Or any other ex-corp ?
Since when were not allowed to do whatever we want to do in this game ? When BoB did you dindt had any complaints , why ? Maybe coz you were suckin up to hard ?

After consideration I have come to the following.
My first priority lies with my own Corpmembers in the first place. As CEO of this little ragtag corporation I can not and will not set any other issue above the wellbeing of my own corpmembers. This means I will honor the friendly ties I have with some of RONA and will not activly or passivly do anything against those that welcomed me as a friend when we were even smaller then we are now.
It saddens me that NORAD has sunk this deep, but then again if I look at my short past in NORAD I can only say I saw this comming. As for decissions made, whether they were good or bad that's in the past. And I need to look to the future of Red Horizon Inc. We are slowly growing in members and my main goal lies not in getting them killed in a war which neither of them has anything to seek in.
So I wish NORAD all the succes they need in their struggle for survival, but that will mainly lie in the ability to hold the fortress. To do so they will have to organise their defence and logistics which isn't one of their strongpoints at the moment I'm afraid.
I will venture towards OR and CR just to have a sneakpeak. I will however not interfere with any hostilities unless they are aimed at me.
I will not open fire untill fired upon. Not that a lot of people will care a lot about that but just stating it so nobody starts later on claiming that I was the agressor.
Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |
