Edited by: arjun on 12/01/2005 18:32:32 Edited by: arjun on 12/01/2005 17:48:21 it started with my setting not being available after a restart of eve. not the graphic settings, not the overview settings, not the map settings, not the chat channels. every thing set to default. only thing that gets saved is music to zero. quite annoying to spend 10 minutes everytime i start eve on the settings. not to mention that i have now 4k bookmarks in one neath nice and farking big folder. and of course no module gui settings either. i could live with that. but now same thing happens after each docking or jumping. URGS if it helps any, even my autopilot target is gone if that helps any. i deleted cache. no result. i reinstalled eve on 3 different hd. no result. i cleaned all registry and stuff on my system. no result. i even changed some settings in prefs ini manualy by hand. they dont get read when eve starts. GRRRRRRRR
game is unplayable for me like this. as i sometimes need to go in fast action after jumping ........
any advice?

Look at the settings on your computer clock, this problem can happen if you have the current year and date set wrongly. Just adjest the date/time. Its weird bug but this can fix the problem hopefully.

I have noticed this problem too, the client reports a different date and time than my PC. My PC is correct. However, when I look at the logs and captured chats the day and times vary and often report diffent dates and times for the same event or action. I have also noticed that under my Character Sheet window within the game, my security status on the character portrait never changes from 0.0 and my security status logs retain information from several months ago while not logging the newest activities. I have tried reinstalling, different directories, checking the file and folder attributes to make sure they are not "read-only" as well as changing all logging options available. I hope this is addressed in the upcoming patch. A Mystery to the Masses An Ally to the Just and Honorable A Hammer Of Doom to the Wicked

Try using clockmon it's a small program that matches time via the net, have it set to check every minute with a 100ms diff. Solved 90% of my problems in one go. The other 10% is I cannot make isk how about a tip for the tip......lol.
