Have a question for people about the Epic Arc that starts in Egbinger and the standings hit you take from the Minmatar Republic Faction.
The initial agent that starts you off on this Epic Arc is Aton Hordner, a Republic Security Services agent of the Minmatar Republic residing in the Minmatar Shipyards in Egbinger. He tells you to help out the Angels, which sounds like you have the blessings of the Minmatar Republic to do exactly that.
When you get into the missions against the illegal research of the Boundless Creation scientists, research that you are told is illegal in the empire which is why they moved out to Angel space, I've noticed you take a standings hit against your Minmatar Republic Faction standing. You do not get a standing hit against the Boundless Creation Corporation.
That doesnt make any logical sense to me. The entire epic arc was started by a agent of the Minmatar Republic, the research of the Boundless Creation scientists is illegal in the empire, you don't take a standings hit with Boundless Creation corp, and yet I went from a +9.84 standing with Minmatar Republic to a +9.45 by destroying a Boundless Creations stabber the scientists were in and later destroying a Boundless Creations Data Center. I need a +9.9 standing to get the 2 run Fleet Tempest BPC offer from Makor Desto in Barkrik. This setback, if working as intended, is discouraging.
I'm going to petition this to see CCP's response, but wanted to post it here in case anyone had any experience with this, or at least warn others not to do the Epic Arc if they are worried about their Minmatar Faction standings.

Bummer.
He is a Secret Agent, 1 of 3 starting agents for the Angel Cartel Pirate level 3 Epic Arc 'Angel Sound'.
The starting agents are:
Aton Hordner - Republic Security Services - Minmatar Republic - Egbinger sys
Arajna Ashia - Amarr Navy - Amarr Empire - Sendaya sys
Ellar Stin - Dominations - Angel Cartel - Konora sys
Completing that arc will give you a 30% Faction increase for Angel Cartel along with a few negative derived standing hits incurred for ship and structure kills. Which is actually small compared to the amount of Pirate Faction standing gained.
The Epic Arc you want is the Minmatar Republic level 4 Epic Arc 'Wildfire'.
Only 1 starting agent:
Arsten Takalo - Brutor tribe - Minmatar Republic - Frarn sys
Completing that Epic Arc will give a 12.75% Faction standing increase to Minmatar Republic.

Completing the Sisters of Eve level 1 Epic Arc 'The Blood-Stained Stars' will give a 8.75% Faction standing gain to the Faction of your choice towards the end of the arc.

Egads. A secret agent. Doesn't look like my petition is going to have a happy ending for my Minmatar Faction standing then.
