Dear Pitboss,
You had an excellent idea for an alliance at first. It worked together well and did more than camp Jita. It formed fleets, roamed, hunted, and was cohesive.
You told everyone that this was going to be different than the Privies, better even. Not just sitting at Jita and waiting for a hapless pilot to undock and get volleyed.
As time went by this great idea began to crack, however. Good pilots pleaded with you to maintain high standards and not let just anyone in. People pleaded with you to discourage the Jita humping, but you turned a blind eye.
You are the Privies, bro. Your killboard just says "Jita." Your pilots are crap and sit at 4-4 and dock at the slightest sign of an interesting fight. The best left you: PRONS and MOFO. All that is left are the dregs and your reputation is, well, a wreck.
Tiny SV holds you at bay and has scored more than seven billion isk in kills against you. You are a failure because you let a really good idea turn into what you professed you hated the most: the Privies. I hope BC Hastings sees this and smiles inside.
Now die, BB

Edited by: Ten Tron on 29/11/2010 18:21:23 Edited by: Ten Tron on 29/11/2010 18:19:38 Camping can be lots of fun, but being prepared is extremely important. You need to make a list of what will need to be taken on the trip. Then you need to collect your supplies. Your equipment also needs to be checked before leaving. Another important step is finding the perfect camping site. You must also set your campsite up correctly. When you are ready to leave the campsite you have pack up correctly. Even though you are ready to leave right then. You'll be glad you did the next time. If you follow these steps you should have a fun and safe camping trip. When making a list for supplies you must be very careful not to over look any of the needed supplies. First you determine how long you plan to be camping and how many people you will need to provide for. Two of the most important supplies would be food and water. You can not count on being able to catch what you need to eat unless you are an extremely experienced camper. Even then it is always wise to take back up food supplies. You may even want to take some food that does not need to be prepared. Water is even more important than food. There may be streams and lakes were you are going to camp.
In video gaming, Camping is a tactic in which a player will obtain a strategic position anywhere on the map and wait for players to arrive and be killed, or waiting for useful objects to appear in an area rather than actively seeking them out.[1] Players camp in order to gain an advantage over their opponents. Camping is usually associated with online multiplayer shooter video games such as Call of Duty and Counter-Strike. Camping is usually performed by locking down an area vital to the enemy's success, therefore more players will arrive to be killed than in any other position in the map. In most games, camping is a legitimate style of play. It often proves frustrating, particularly to newer players, as it rewards those who invest a considerable amount of time in the game (which allows them to know the layout of the maps and the best defensive positions); as well as those with accurate aim. Among some players, camping is considered tantamount to cheating, especially in deathmatch-type games.[2] The most common reason for this is that if every player camps, there will be no opportunities for players to come into conflict, and thus there will be no game at all. Those players choosing to camp are playing on the lack of patience in other players, counting on them to come after them first. In most deathmatch-type games that have both a time limit and a kill limit, Camping is a strategy centered around taking advantage of the time limit instead of the kill limit. However, the rise in technology of computer gaming allow the ability for the production of more tactical games or strategic games that account for morale, and increasingly the label is not viewed as derogatory. For example, capture the flag and its variants provide incentive to invade enemy territory, regardless of the risk, since scoring flags is more important than scoring frags; conversely, this mode also encourages players to camp their own vulnerable flag to defend against the anticipated stream of attackers. However, even in such games, some players may choose to camp to give covering fire for other team members attempting to grab the flag and run back with it. It is comparable to turtling.
You might argue that campers are part of the game but they don't have to be. Camping is a problem. It ruins the game for a lot of players who otherwise would really like playing online. Camping isn't even fun for the person doing it. Sitting there watching a door for five minutes is boring. When you are more concerned about your stats in a video game rather than actually having fun, there is something wrong. Based on the track record of the series, when Black Ops releases November 9th, it is not going to be any different than the others. Camping is an outdoor recreational activity. The participants (known as campers) leave urban areas, their home region, or civilization and enjoy nature while spending one or several nights outdoors, usually at a campsite. Camping may involve the use of a tent, caravan, cabin, a primitive structure, or no shelter at all. Camping as a recreational activity became popular in the early 20th century. Campers frequent national parks, other publicly owned natural areas, and privately owned campgrounds. Camping is a key part of the program of many youth organizations around the world, such as Scouting. It is used to teach self-reliance and team work. Camping is also used as a cheap form of accommodation for people attending large open air events such as sporting meetings and music festivals. Organizers often provide a field and other basic amenities.

You mad bro?
The crew I roll with in the Priesthood roams, POS bashes, raids wormholes, raids juicy Morsus Mihi POS's, does the occasional EC- Bombing Run, goes here there and everywhere if there are kills to be had. Guess what- we form up on 4-4 why? Because people just love to feed us killmails in the meantime while we scout out other interesting prospects/ops with our alts.
SV doesn't hold us at bay, they seldom come and fight, we have screenshots and even local logs of them docking up and "going to mission run on alts". I respect Snatch and can't blame them for playing smart, ganking pilots out and about solo, or doing the unspeakable things during war time. It happens, every village has its 'special person'. I've yet to see many that are willing (or stupid) enough to fight Ad0pt toe-to-toe.

when you are at war with a corp (whether they dec'd you or you dec'd them) that you out number by as much as you do, you cannot possibly expect them to use brute force tactics, i agree that would be stupid.
fighting smart wins way more battles than fighting hardheaded and blind. knowning when to withdraw( which believe it or not we have a very hard time doing as we get bloodthirsty) is very very important. we are definately not risk adverse if you look at some of our losses but we are by no means stupid even though well again look at some of our losses lol
we should know because the smaller (well trained) alliances do the same thing to us and are equally frustrating.
when you go to war you do it by whatever means necessary and claiming that the they wont go "toe-to-toe" proves nothing except that they are unwilling to lemming themselves into giant blobs WHICH WE HAVE DONE TO ORPHANAGE IN THE PAST (*cough* 2x billion isk lokis *cough*) and we have definately learned from our mistakes.
thats baseball doing what baseball do
anyways good fighting orphanage, again we dont use log in traps but believe whatever you want to believe its fine because we have alot of fun when you guys are around.

Testy arn't we? We've gone looking for you guys a few times, to no effect. I'm not trying to call any of you out for the logoffski nonsense, so you can let that rest already. I much like yourselves am not down with the idea of running headlong into superior numbers either (you know- like the usual 2 Loki's, Tengu, Abaddon (lolbait), and double Guardians), which I'm sure is most of the reason you guys havn't actually killed me (while I'm online anyway, so go ahead and chop about 2.4B off that figure you mentioned).
Its a free-fly alliance man, we do what we want, when we want; why chase you guys down and hunt you when theres plenty of kills to be had elsewhere (e-honor lol). Granted you guys have done a great job singling out solo roamers and even stragglers, but then again theres always this:
(before you say it, I don't even have photoshop more or less have the time or inclination to figure out how to use it. Excuse the edited out channel names.)

Poasting in a 'this pvp' is better than 'that pvp' thread.
Aside from game mechanics (bombs and bubbles, caps and such) I fail to see the difference between being on a blue list in 0.0 and empire pvp. Someone was bragging about 12 kills about an hour ago in EC- in 3 hours.. hell I can do that in Jita in 30 minutes. Oh right, you know, because people dont kill shuttles and noobships in 0.0... I forgot myself there for a second..

Not sure it does beat low sec. There is much less risk doing high sec pvp than there is with a blue list in 0.0 unless you happen to be the part of the Northern Coalition...
Seems infinitely more like shooting fish in a barrel (how many people do you shoot before their pc's load the grid outside the station?) without any real risk or excitement to me. All a matter of perspective? Idk really...

Its all a matter of playstyle.. CCP Happens to all of us at one point or another, you can kill people anywhere before they load grid, hell theres a goonswarm guide on GridFu that teaches you how to lag people's grid loads.
I mean.. Sure 'Empire PvP' might seem pretty lame to alot of people, but when you have 30000 war targets, hows it different then anywhere else? I myself just don't really care for 0.0 lag, nor am I overly experienced in 0.0. But lowsec/empire is fun for me (I don't really like the idea of 'blue lists' either, If I see someone in a faction anything in low/null I'm going to shoot at them). Most of the time, I'm either in a Wolf or a Dramiel, and I'll shoot anything. Sure I can do the Alpha-Machariel or Tempest or Maelstrom thing, but I really like smaller ships. Its all a matter of personal opinion, and there really isn't a 'right' conclusion to draw in this arguement.
People love to hate on Ad0pt, and well- it is what it is; I can tell you for sure; that I have a blast with these guys, and we're out to have a good time. While the ideal of being and EvE-Famous PvPer like El'Tar or Hera Darkthorn is entertaining, I love 'drunk' ops, and just fooling around wherever we head out to.
If I'm having more fun then you, then I don't know what to tell you

That's why I don't fly in 0.0 blob fests... Small gang 0.0 is where it's at. But it can be compared fairly closely to low-sec small gang work, especially in NPC 0.0.
You still have Concord that will come kill anyone that attacks you in Hisec that isn't wardecced by you guys... Plus, how many of your purported 30,000 war targets actually form fleets to fight you in Jita and hisec? Or do you just gank lone haulers and idiots that undock? You may have a ton of targets but very few of them actually fight you...

Helios Black, Heres your battleclinic. You have no room to talk. Most of your kills are in blobs.....18 vs 4....15 vs 2.....wheres your small gang stuff? It's mainly blobs...Also, your losses. A lot of solo losses in 1v1 fights. Seems like you can't pvp unless you got 15 dudes in your fleet.
Same goes for these guys...lots of opinions on pvp but they lack pvp stats. Potamus Jenkins lots of solo losses....His opinion about pvp is meaningless.
Mazlow Shartain mainly ganks....no solo or small gang pvp...his opinion on pvp is worthless to me
Niclas solo He has decent stats...i value his opinion on pvp.

So you take my losses from when I first started pvp'ing and post them as proof? Plus how many of my 1v1 deaths have me matched up against something evenly? Or did I get ****d in an arbitrator by a Sleipnir or something comparable?
Plus, I'm pretty sure you (and everyone else) know that Battleclinic is terrible at showing the composition of a fleet and the actual ships involved. Check a real killboard and get back to me.
