I used to use the Evemon relocator to have 1 client per monitor.. this does not work anymore (at least not without title bars and borders.

It should be a little drop box in the left side of the graphics tab

No such box here.
Infact the GFX options look the same way they looked before the update.

Edited by: Zitus on 30/11/2010 22:45:00 I've got an honest to god fix to the problems everyone has been having with the two clients on two screens dilemma After applying these fixes, you will have one client per screen, at fixed window and no weird gap at the bottom of the screen.
Step 1. Download Evemon. This is helpful but not required. I'll explain in a bit. Step 2. In the Esc Menu at the log in screen, in the Display and Graphics tab -> Display Setup:
- Set the Windowed of Fullscreen drop down bar to : "Fixed Window"
- Set the Window Size field to be the same resolution as your current computer monitor.
Step 3. To move windows with EVEMon
- access the relocator and choose which monitor to move the window to.
- Resize resolution as needed.
Step 3. To move windows without EVEMon
- In the Esc Window, set the Display Adapter field to which monitor you want to display to.
- Resize resolution as needed.
Should work with any Windows 7 box. Have not tried with any other OSs.
------------------ I'm not sure if my eyes are actually bleeding, or if it's merely my brain bleeding out through my eye sockets, but either way, it hurts to read what you just wrote |

Options > Display Adapter.
Set each client to a different adapter (They might only be different by number, I.e nViDia GTX 470 1, nVidia GTX 470 2.
Then go to Windows or Fullscreen, and set it to fixed. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Ah thanks. I didn't notice that setting the windows to "fixed" actually increases the reolution by a tiny little bit because of the missing borders/titel bar.
Works now, thanks a lot =)

That works too lol, I never actually paid attention to that setting before... Eve is like the only game I play like that and the relocator has always worked.

If the release version of EveMON doesn't work properly currently, I know the last snapshot I downloaded worked with Incarna.

Sounds reasonable, I'm not exactly sure I have the up to date version anyway. ------------------ I'm not sure if my eyes are actually bleeding, or if it's merely my brain bleeding out through my eye sockets, but either way, it hurts to read what you just wrote |

I was also going to make a topic about this issue but this solves it for me too. Thanks. Signature removed for not being EVE related. Zymurgist |

Same here. Note that you'll have to reset the resolution to match your screen's resolution.

Is there any way to do it without having to select the options every time you launch eve? Can it be linked to profiles so when you log in it moves the client to that account's setting? It's very cool they've made these updates to allow multiple monitor support but it seems a bit pointless not taking advantage of that fully by allowing you to multibox without going into the options everytime you log in. If there is a way I'd be grateful to find out :)

What do you mean? My settings have been saved... every time I start individual EVE client it starts in its own monitor using its own DVI port on my video card. For example, here are settings I use:

What do you mean? My settings have been saved... every time I start individual EVE client it starts in its own monitor using its own DVI port on my video card. For example, here are settings I use:
If I set my open client to monitor 1, then launch another client and set it to monitor 2 (changing the adapter option to 2) if I reload clients it uses whichever option was last saved to launch from. This means whenever I want an alt account to load on my second monitor I have to tell it to do so each and everytime I open EVE for that alt, and if I close down having saved my settings and my alt account saved or closed first when I launch eve it opens in the secondary monitor by default and I have to change it all again to run the main account on the main screen! I know that's a bit of a ramble, but I'd like EVE to basically remember your settings so you load it, login and it goes "Oh that's account XYZ, put it on monitor 1/2"

No. Not like that. You either use separate clients or you do the trick described here to simulate separate clients with a single install : http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Multiple_clients And that's how you do it. _

I just set each client to fixed window in the graphics options tab, and then set the window to the screen I want with Eve Mon.
You may have to simply adjust the resolution, but of you drag the client into the monitor first, and then maximise it, you shouldnt have to.
This is on Vista.
