Anti Aliasing is awesome got it set on 16xQ ... but it doesn't seem to affect shadows which are super blockly, especially on space stations...oh boy that looks bad.. shadows were forgotten in the AA agenda?
Regardless - AA is AWESOME! Now its time for sausages & scrambled eggs and a nice English breakfast cup of tea :) yeehaa!

Change the shader quality to low - leave the rest on high or whatever.
I have a GeForce 9800 GT, have AA set to 8XQ, other crap on high - and shadows were TERRIBLE.
Putting shader quality to low got rid of the shadows - which for my situation, is the only option, and really looks good. Shadows are stupid anyway. - NB |

Because de-selecting the "Shadows Enabled" button was somehow MORE difficult or something ? _

Yeah i noticed that too, the shadows were just big blocks.
it's probably better for performance anyway, doesn't worry me too much.

I guess...if you want to do it the easy way...and you have the wherewithal to move your eyes another cm or two up the screen...which I clearly dont :P
Yeah, that works :) - NB |

Build an Eve ship out of nothing but 2x4 stud LEGO bricks, then shine a flashlight on it. The shadow cast will be less blocky than what you get in EVE.
This is sad.

Legos don't cast shadows. Silly.

Aye its very noticeable but not overly vomit inducing - just another feature that CCP has on the fix it list (maybe) ..hopefully society doesn't collapse too much before they make EVE what it could/should be, I would like to continue concentrating on wasting my time with irrelevant computer games yeehaa! --------------------------------------------- Francis Wolcott: "I am a sinner that does not expect forgiveness. Eve has shadows?
it was a HUGE feature with wormholes, but then without even a patch note, they nerfed them into the ground by remove a setting of "shadow quality"
they used to look great, but haven't for over a year. why are some people acting like they just found out?

ahhHHHhhh!! I thought it was just my imagination :) Sooo they did have good shadows once .. why did they dis it? performance issues yes? So maybe they could bring it back?.. actually makes little sense for them to remove shadows under the guise of performance issues.. if someone has a issue, reduce your settings seem the obvious thing to do...
