Following on from the success of the 110 and 111 contests, it is with great pleasure that I can announce PIE's ongoing sponsorship of the Amarrian Loyalist of the Year Awards.
This year, two awards will be presented -
Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year: To be presented to the Amarrian, Khanid or Ni-Kunni pod pilot deemed to have achieved the most on behalf of the Empire during the last twelve months. Last year's winner was Grr.
Loyal Servant of the Year: To be presented to the non-Amarrian pod pilot deemed to have furthered the aims of the Empire the most during the last twelve months. LostInCogneto was the winner of the 111 award.
We are now accepting nominations for these awards.
Anyone not currently a member of PIE may nominate pilots for the appropriate award.
However, you may not nominate either yourself, a member of your current corporation, or a current member of PIE Inc.
In order to nominate a pilot, please post their details in this thread along with why you think they deserve to win. Nominations will close at 12:00 on 10th December 112.
Note that only Amarrians (including those of the Ni-Kunni and Khanid bloodlines) may be nominated for the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year, and only non-Amarrians may be nominated for the Loyal Servant of the Year.
As before, pilots may be nominated regardless of their history or standings, and acceptance of a nomination does not in itself equate to an endorsement of that pilot by PIE Inc.
The PIE Inc directorate will create two shortlists from the lists of nominees, each of no more than six pilots. These lists will be published before being passed on to the wider PIE membership who will be the ones to decide the eventual winners.
The winners will be announced on 19th December 112.

I have 2 nominations to mention.
ALDRITH SHUTAQ - CEO - Knighthood of the Merciful Crown
INVELIOUS - CEO - Deus Imperiosus Acies / Executor - Covenant of Prophecy
I have had the privilege to work with both of these individuals in the pursuits of the objectives of the 24th Imperial Crusade. Each of them has been a force for unity among the Militia's loyalists. The work they both put in behind the scenes, politically and militarily, is hard to adequately quantify without breaking a dozen levels of confidential clearance....

As Admiral Grr did last year I feel it's only right to object to these rules. The simple fact that the members of PIE Inc, one of the oldest most loyalist of corps in new eden are not allowed to take part is ridiculous.
Veshta Yoshida would be my top choice as somebody who has worked extremely hard for the cause but appears to never want any credit for it. That kind of humble devotion deserves the highest rewards.
As loyal servant of the year I nominate Garreck. Not many realise how much he has to put up with but still somehow manages to put on the bravest face to the public and promote the cause with a smile.
I ask anybody nominating somebody to please consider, do it because they are a loyalist and for their work throughout the year. Don't put their name forward just because they happen to be a good FC, or have scored lots of "points" in the war or they happen to shout the loudest on these forums. I would hate to see another "Jodie Amille" win when they are so many others that deserve this.

There was this guy, Ratalon, who a corpmate saw, rescue some people from space, evading the customs ships in so doing, cos those customs ships would shoot anyone carrying those people, for some reason or other, so the guy rescuing them was putting their ship at risk by saving them, is that sort of thing suitable for this? You're welcome to nominate anyone you wish, subject to the rules laid out above.
Having said that, if you're nominating them for a specific incident which we may not be aware of, then the more information you can provide the better.
In this particular case, you might want to mention what system this happened in, why the customs ships were opening fire, and what eventually happened to the people that were collected.

I would like to nominate the following:
For Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year I would like to nominate Lady Silas Vitalia. During the course of the past year she has guided Khanid forces to to help keep piracy down in the Kingdom which in turn, strengthens the Empire. She has lead missions to support our allies among the Caldari which served to secure our trade routes and foster a new spirit of cooperation for the Amarr/Caldari alliance. She then led a successful campaign in support of the 24th Imperial Crusade. Under her command we have been able to keep Sansha's Nation from making any incursions into the Kingdom, while rooting out Nation spies and supporters. Finally, she has helped to organize the newly-formed Black Inquisition who stand to root out corruption from within as it brings the Light of God to those who desperately deserve it.
For Loyal Servant of the Year, I would like to nominate Tarac Nor for doing what even CVA was unable to do.

I therefore nominate Silas Vitalia for her statements after the PIE Battle of Mekhios - Honoring the Fallen station-only rally in Amarr this summer.
Her comments in the aftermath thread, specifically:
Originally by: Silas Vitalia
I'd say the dozens of SF wartargets outside the station during your event proved otherwise.
This is the root of your problem. Entirely too much discussion and bold pronouncements of glory.
How much better, how much more constructive to your cause, had things gone a different route?
You knew exactly when, and you knew exactly where, a hated and foul enemy would appear, and that they would do so at a time and place of your own choosing.
The Anarchists are easily and predictably drawn to these public events, as we have seen time and time again. What better opportunity to plan ahead and smash them, to shut their mouths on hallowed ground in front of everyone? A mighty blow directly to their inflated egos.
What God fearing servant of the Lord could refuse such an opportunity? We are none of us numerous enough by ourselves, but together, we could surely overpower them. Instead of donating ships as door prizes, donate the money for a single day of CONCORD sanctioned warfare to each corporation in attendance, to coincide with the ceremony. Now, instead of our enemies facing a dozen ships, they have 3 or 4 times that amount to contend with.
Win OR lose, the honor and glory would be yours, for showing some backbone, and initiative in the face of such odds.
This is the spark and will to fight against the Godless and Degenerate that all Amarr should share, and that we did not see at your event.
Shameful.
Silas Vitalia CEO Khanid Provincial Vanguard Open for Recruitment!
This was about the most honest thing I have seen from the mouth of an Amarr-aligned Nationalist pilot this year. And I think Silas Vitalia deserves the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year award for this bold and realistic assessment of the situation at Amarr Prime during the station-bound Mekhios rally.

Thank you brother Mokk, and thank you (I think?) to Constantine, begrudgingly.
I will however have to withdraw any nomination for this "award."
Firstly, I do not consider myself worthy of this sort of recognition until which point that our new alliance has claimed new null-sec territory and begun fulfilling our mandate. *
Secondly, I do not recognize PIE's judgement when it comes to what a good loyalist is. Another liberal-filled, self-congratulatory ceremony in the bowels of a station, no thank you.
I would reiterate a call to true loyalists to remove themselves from the political proxy-war on the border. They should get themselves to null-sec where they can make a real difference. Where they can conquer, subjugate, and advance the cause, rather than fighting over the table-scraps of the Empire/Matari borderlands.
Do enjoy your ceremony, I hope your door-prizes turn out better this year.
*(A brief side note, and apology for slightly off topic, but we will have a press release in the coming week or so detailing the launch of our first official campaign of aggressive expansion and conquest.)

I don't see anywhere in the rules that says you can only nominate one person, so...
Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year nomination:
zero2espect of Zero Heavy Industries Gangleri of First Praetorian Guard
Loyal Servant of the Year nomination:
Predator Elite of The Imperial Fedaykin Voody Voodoo of Imperial Lobsters
Why? Zero is an inspiration during the day time shift, leading countless fleets along the warzone. Predator is his counterpart, leading countless fleets during the night time shift. I know some would scoff at those reasons, but the responsibility of being an FC takes it's toll. It is a thankless job most of the time and these people deserve accolades for the time they give, the patience they have, and the resolve they have. They inspire.
I chose Gangleri for his wisdom and for how he has tried to unite the power houses of the Amarr Militia. He is a great leader and a represents a true Amarrian.
I nominated Voody because he is a brilliant pilot, he is an inspiration. Also I really like how he is someone you can count on to have your back out on the field, if you need him he is there. These things matter.
There are countless others who deserve accolades, all the pilots who are out there on the front sacrificing for the Empire.

Rodj Blake for setting up this grand occasion.
Loyal Servant of the Year:
Zverofaust, for doing what's right to secure the future prosperity of the Empress and Empire; for fighting injustice whatever form it takes and whatever disguise it hides behind; for standing up for truth, justice and the traditions and values that make the Empire great; for pledging his life, soul and work to the Almighty God above all else; and his limitless courage and sacrificial nature with which he abides by and carries out the divine Will of God.

Zenton Karvash is obviously deserving of the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year Award, due to his never-ending drive in educating and improving the capability of Imperial pilots by destroying them in ever-more amusing ways.
As for Loyalist of the Year, Eran Mintor should have this position, for showing just how pathetic the depths are of a creature who sacrifices his brothers at a harlot's whim and providing the cluster with the clearest example of what it means to be an Imperial loyalist of a lesser race.

I forgot to nominate someone - might as well since I already posted.
For Amarrian of the Year I nominate Shalee Lianne.
For Servant of the Year I nominate Predator Elite.
'Predator Elite' is a well known FC in the Amarr militia. His undying warrior spirit has given many victories to the Amarr militia in the warzone. His dedication has cost many Minmatar and Amarr their lives, but for the good of the Empire and the rest of man-kind.
I will probably be the only person to nominate Shalee, and it may seem obvious as to my reasons to. It is not because of any personal bias, but because of her dedication.
Shalee has been fighting for the Amarr Empire for several years now and has continued to without vacation or leave. Commodore Lianne has been a loyal servant of God and Amarr, filling in the gaps where they may arise to ensure the progression of Amarr. She has sacrificed time and time again for the better of the Empire, and has always worked towards forging a lasting peace.

It's pathetical to see nominations of so called "loyal pilots" simple declaring the area of reclaiming as pure warzone to have the accreditation to engage every neutral pilot moving through this area and so to receive the false impression of being loyal to the Empire. Brother Rodj Blake, maybe you can enumerate the behalf and the aims of the Empire in your call, to separate loyal pilots from Pirate and Traitor - nominations.

loyal servant should go to either dake darkstalker or galdornae of locus industries
they single-handedly broke the hegemony the minmatar had in their timezone and in their home system of auga without having to resort to begging for outside help from nullsec alliances or overwhelming numbers. whatever else they may have done since then is irrelevant.
you'll probably ignore these nominations but let me be clear, no matter who "wins" these awards, at this time nobody else in the amarr militia has their capabilities at an individual level or their tactical/organizational skills for organizing highly competent fleets.

Reason why I nominate my self are too numerous to be all told, but I feel my unvaering work for our faith deserves attention. Also I led my corp to be one of the last valiant defenders when great annihilation found itsef to the Providence. We also rallied many peasants to defend what is mine...ours when barbarians pured in and laid claim to everything. After that I have made good work for disruptin oppressors industrial operations in our stolen space. I have also spreded His words in now occupied Providence, and tried to see heretics to see reason.
I have also spoken for the rights of miners for years now. They are too often neglected to be second class members and that is grand unjustice.
