I don't have to tell you ECM is bad. Everyone knows ECM is bad. It's a depressing game mechanic. Everyone's docked up, or scared of being jammed, 1 million isk buys an isk's worth, banks are going bust. Solo PvPers keep a Falcon alt, Blackbirds are running wild in the street. Nobody anywhere seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.
We know ECM is unfit to use, and the counters are hard to fit. We sit watching our forums while some local poster tells us that today we had 15 new Falcon Alts, and 63 soloers jammed as if that's the way it's supposed to be! We know ECM is bad, worse than bad, it's crazy. It's like Everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't leave our home system anymore. So we sit in our home systems and slowly the universe we're living is getting smaller, all we say is "Please at least leave us alone our home systems", Let me have my ECCM ganglinks, Anti Falcon-Falcon alt, Triple ECCM Sniper Apocalypse, and I won't say anything just leave us alone.
Well I'm not going to leave you alone, I want you to get mad! I don't want you to forum spam or to troll, I don't want you to write a proposal on the assembly hall because I don't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about falcon alts, ECCM, and the russians, and the ECM everywhere in local
All I know is that first, you've got to get mad!!!! You've gotta say "I'm a human being god damn it, my PvP has value!"
So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now, go to the window, open it, and stick your head our and yell, IM AS MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE ECM ANYMORE.

i love ecm and have no problem with it. sure it sucks when you are on the receiving end, but im not posting on forums complaining about it. i just suck it up, say good fight in local, and then get the heck out before he gets my pod.

ECM is definitely dumb 
Should be 'lock breaking' at best. Your entire ship is controlled electronically via your POD. If you frig the electronics, they would power down, burn out, stop functionally, all modules need to be re-onlined or something at least plausibly less dumb than what we have such as tricking you into thinking your gang mates are bad guys.
Its just dumb as it is and you know what? I Love it!
I have falcon alt so will live it up until some CCP dev finds himself on the wrong side of the dumb-stick too frequently and pushes to change it.

For ****'s sakes, guys. Fit some sensor dampeners, or counter-ECM their ECM. ECM is a welcome layer of complexity to fighting.
And by the way, it IS fun being the jamming boat.
P.s. your "get mad!" spiel sounds like something out of a brainwashing self help book.
