By "froze", I suppose you mean "was unresponsive", as opposed to "was lagging badly" ? If the former, you need to look at the software and/or settings, because the hardware should have been more than sufficient. If the latter, no other PC would have helped. _

Everything was on low settings brackets where turn off the works.

For upgrading: Need to know what motherboard you have.
Akita makes excellent point. There are three possible causes: 1) Hardware 2) Software 3) Network
Software would be the easiest to troubleshoot, just pick "best performance" or similar in the main menu.
You can set the cpu to stock speed, just in case. I think the farthest I got with my Q6600 was 3.1+ GHz, I never got to 3.4 that some people claimed. I am running at stock 2.4 GHz now.
Network. Nothing you can do about server side. On the other hand, if you used bus speed overclock, then you also overclocked all the components that are connected to the bus, including network card, which could lead to instability in network performance. When people overclock, they usually track cpu, memory and video, other parts usually get ignored, well, those other parts (network card/onboard adapter) may not be important enough to track, but their performance may degrade because overclocking places them into conditions in which they were not designed to operate. Just so you know.
I like Akita's idea best, it is probably software. My EVE client crashes all the time and I just mission carebear.

That sounds like server side issue. Nothing you can do about it.

Hope thats the case will see how it goes just took at look at getting another 4GB Ram but dont realy want to part with that sort of cash this close to Christmas. I will try changing the CPU clock speed back to stock but not had any problems with it.

THIS IS NOT A HARDWARE PROBLEM
Go tell CCP to fix eve, and then your problem will be gone.
You should be submitting petitions and talking to CCP tech support, not us.
and, just in case I wasn't clear,
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR HARDWARE. SEND ME MONEY AND IT WILL DO AS MUCH GOOD AS BUYING NEW HARDWARE.

@Atomos Darksun Anger Management not going so well?
But yeah if its server/client side Issue's causing the lag np but I was not the only one in this fight and other people seem to be able to join in with little to no problems so was just checking as my computer is a year or more old now.

I'd just like to add that nVidia drivers suck. Seriously.
After 181.20, which is 2 years old(!), I have tried to update several times (last attempt: 260.99) and never found a single stable driver. 260.99 keeps crashing L4D2 etc. ... So make sure you are using one of the rare stable driver versions first.
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming
