Are there any decent money making plexes in highsec and if so where the heck are they, or they all in null sec?

Well if these would exist in hi-sec, everyone and their grandma would be plexing there I guess, rendering them less profitable again
I'd say the bulk of the ISK is to be made in 0.0, with the exception of maybe some small deadspace loot that happens to be favored by the buyers (and therefore worth a few pennies). Simply because of the player vs. complex density together with the bounty/loot worth.

There ARE a lot of good plex's in high sec. However, they are not appairent.
You have to go scanning to find any good plexs, which show up as unknown signals *The same kind as wormholes*
To prove theres good plexs. In the last month, via scanning, my corp has found FIVE or so Vigilant BPCs *Worth quite a bit per pop*
And just last night, I found a Coreli-A Type MWD, worth 40 Mil in a 3/10 Plex.
So High sec..PLENTY of good stuff. Just gota find it.

I make 40mil in less than an hour (sometimes much less) by running missions in high sec. Every hour..
Face it, if you add up the time spent scanning, travelling and then doing the site you will discover your ISK/hour is pretty poo poo. Not to forget all the hours you find NOTHING.
If you enjoy it, go nuts but high sec exploration is not a "great money making".

Edited by: Anne Alingus on 04/12/2010 10:01:36 If you have the patience, and the skills, hisec does have lucrative sites. The Guristas 4/10 can drop a C-type medium shield booster worth 400 million (at least, that's how much it was last time I was in hisec). Pithi b-type smalls are what, 150 million these days? Dramiel bpcs are 70 million.
The problem is too many people doing it, so the chance of finding one becomes tiny.
Grinding missions is way better ISK, but hisec exploration is a nice break from that and lets you train up some necessary skills for when you put the big boy pants on and move out of hisec.
If you are going to try it, get the requisite skills up a bit, know what you're looking for, and find a few constellations where there aren't as many people. And try to learn the sites themselves as well.
Nothing sucks more than finally finding a site, studiously killing all the rats, only to have some douchebag in a Tengu warp into the site, MWD to the site objective smack it down and scoop the C-type medium shield booster then laugh at you when you cry in local.
edit: Pithum C-Type Medium Shield Booster for sale. Check Jita contracts.

High sec exploration has a lot of good sites which pay off with good loot. For good chance at Faction loot best to complete the high level Cosmic Signature sites like 'Vigil' and 'Watch' and get an expedition. Even the little sites can net you up to 500 Mill easily.
A few small anomaly's will even spawn a Faction NPC (Loot = 100 mill +) from time to time with a small chance of expedition. Just gotta know which anomaly type gives the best chance.
Main thing is being able to quickly find and complete the sites asap. Also location of exploration routes. Systems that are way off the main travel path with low to no population.
As a high sec explorer myself, Force Recon Cruiser is what I use and it works great for this. It can fit up all exploration modules and still have slots left for Offensive and Defensive fitting. It'll quickly complete all high sec Radar, Mag and small Cosmic Anomaly sites 'On the Fly' without doing a refit. With a small quick refit, it can also tackle the mid size combat sites. Not to mention it can also fit up and use the Covert Ops Cloaking Device module which helps a lot for chasing down those expeditions to last stage in low security.
I carry 3 Small Secure Containers filled with supplies (Modules, Munitions, etc) and that ship is ready to go anywhere, quickly completing all little sites 'On the Fly' while hunting down Faction NPC spawns for loot and expeditions, going from one area to another without a lot of back up or luggage to drag around.

You can find a few in highsec but not that often, unless you play 12 hours a day. If you can get one to escalate, thats where the better loot is.
Yes you can make more isk doing lvl 4s but plexs break it up a bit if all you play for is to make money.

You may find it easier and more profitable to compromise and try exploring in low security space. It's rarely touched except by pirates looking to exterminate explorers and dedicated explorers looking to dodge pirates. Just remember some basic safety guidelines and you'll be fine.
As for high security space? Overfarmed. Escalations are okay but not fantastic. Try setting your star map to display how many jumps there have been in the last hour, and head towards a pocket of infrequently traveled space. Just make sure the system is high-sec first, if you set it to color code by jumps, you can't see sec status on a glance.
