Gentlemen,
Let's get a goods thread started around using incursion expansion, 1 eve-client and spreading it over your two screens and using the horizontal offset.
Let's discuss questions, tips etc.. .
My share : I've used the horizontal offset, that works fine, at least for the ships. My capacitor is still split in half. Anyone any idea on how to fix that please report in. I've managed to move my targets finally after finding the well hidden bulls-eye.
The new tick below the horizontal offset option, does nothing for me. Its also not clear on what it's supposed to do as wel, at least for me.
The new window mode then , the one without borders. When i've nicely spread my window across two monitors, and i enable that ****, it flashes my monitors a bit and then puts half an eve client without borders on one of the two screens. epic fail, at least here.
/discuss, enlighten me with your stories *grabs popcorn*

Click on the center of the capacitor indicator and drag the HUD to your licking position.

Edited by: Desmont McCallock on 06/12/2010 14:16:24 About the Fixed Window feature. - Have the EVE client in window mode. - Drag the window to span across both monitors. - Press ESC and select "Graphics & Display settings" tab. - Select "Fixed Window" in 'Windowed or Fullscreen' selection. - Select the window size to be the full resolution of both your monitors.
EVE client should relocate to both monitors without borders.
PS: licking positon can only be left or right. You can also put the HUD at top of the screen (selection is hidden inside the right triangle of the HUD).

Aha, again : great info. Thanks.
So the idea is to span it across, checkout the desired resolution, then manually fill in that resolution as the desired one, and then make it without borders.
amadoinitrite ?

When you have the window spanned across both monitors and you are in the window size selection you will see predefined resolutions. One of those is the max resolution of both your monitors combined.

Also :
Maybe there are some nifty features that I /others don't know about, such as the capatitor's ability to move or the bullseye for targets to be abled to move ?
Some other things that assist to the dual-monitor epicness ?

can anyone tell me how i can move the "fixed window" mode so it doesn't start in the upper left hand corner of my monitor. I have it set in windowed mode to the middle of my screen and then when i go to drop the frame with "fixed window" it moves it to the upper left hand corner of the screen.
if not possible then i guess wtf but would be cool if you can change its location. |

I think wat desmont is trying to say is that if you assign the correct resolution its gonna span nicely over yourn screen , starting from the upper left to the lower right.
I too however am under the impression that you cannot 'drag-move' your eve if you are in the "windowed-without-border"-mode ...

PS. Fixed window mode is the combination of Windowed mode and Fullscreen mode. So you have a fake fullscreen client with the ability to open other windows.
Yeah I read this from ccp notes too.
I also have been messing around, be it with other screens, not two the same.
I'll try the windowed mode you described though.

Please fix the login screen. I know it's not a huge issue, but if you have a span accross two monitors, and your pivot point is off to the left or right, it doesn't update the login screen, putting the login and logo right in the middle of the bevels.
Plus, the Incursion logo now looks enlarged and low quality. I'm guessing the bigwigs over at CCP have at least 2 30" cinima display setups, amiright? You'd think the logos would be in vector anyways?

I'm loving the new dual screen option, it makes everything so much easier to see.
But one thing that annoys me is that even with the UI offset, the bar that shows that you are being jammed still seems to show up on the split between monitors, very annoying.

I would have to agree on this.
On another note, I've tried just about everything Desmont said, and it checks out marvelously.
Cheers mate,
LLard.
