Why do we have Eve Gate in a web browser? If I am on a PC I will most likely log into the game instead of using Eve Gate. Eve Gate would benefit me more as a mobile app for my (insert your phone here). I can access eve gate through my web browser on my driod, but the experience is lackluster compared to an app.
The Mobile App should include everything on the browser version except voice, Plus add a real time Instant Messenger.

Also, at the very least, the browser should let us queue skills: then it would actually be useful. |

I don't support. I regularly use the browser when at lunch at work or when on my laptop and trying to conserve my bandwidth expenditure. I don't have a phone that supports apps and thoroughly appreciate Eve gate in its current form. That it is getting Eve Voice is even better as it means I can now communicate with my corp even when on a computer that does not have the Eve Client installed.

This would be nice to have an EVEgate app for mobile for sure.

And if you don't support it, well go cry your eyes out cause your jealous you don't got a smart phone or too stupid to enable the wifi on it. That's like me saying I don't support the next expansion cause right now the current expansion I like. Stupid. I hope you die lots in eve.

I Have lots of cash, **** loads of Smart Phones, Ipads, and 200 PS3 all hooked up into one super computer.
I DEMAND CCP remove Eve from the PC market to make my life better so that my PS3 super system runs eve, along with my Ipad and Smart Phone.
....
Honestly do none of you peeps bother to check anything before posting?
Eve Gate is getting a BUFF ya'll it's like so gunna totally beat the Drake in blob warfare now.
EveGat is fine where it is; wait until after the buff.
a SEPARATE app for smart phones would be nice; but not simply removing Eve from the browser market because you don't like it there. Jeeze, idiots.

EVE is a social game. It would be smart to expand the experience into the technology that most supports social activity. Hence, focusing EveGate as a smart phone app.
I do access it from my work PC sometimes, but the mobile access is what I need. It is so 2010 to be regulated to the PC when trying to talk my peeps.
EVE is all about being connected with your bros.

I disagree only in the argument that it shouldn't be in a PC browser. However, I fully support adding a mobile client/mobile browser version of EVE Gate. But don't take away the PC browser version. What the heck am I gonna do on my lunch break then?

Well one thing I have to say is, considering phones these days can be hacked easier then another persons computer it does have problems with this proposal, and I think that could be one of the reasons specifically why it hasn't been done yet. I don't personally code mobile apps but a friend of mine does and I know it would take him a matter of a day of work to do it. But I bet I can get his confirmation that it would be extremely easy to piggyback someones connection info.
If security could be so restricted as to single phone line access only maybe, but unless I am mistaken a laptop at mcdonalds could easily have more security then a cell phone connecting with wifi boost (very common feature now).

Because some people have jobs and can't log into a game at work but a facebook clone looking thing with 'game mail' and other features not yet delivered or at least useful to me can still get used by other people.
Also not everyone is a lifeless **** who runs around with their face down playing with a phone all day, many are, but not all.

Or a m.evegate.com (or somthing like that) a moblie versoin of the site. I only ever go onto ebe gate on my phone, same with the forums (although that works much easier and faster so im not sure a new version is needed).

As a web developer, I believe supporting web standards as opposed to custom apps is a better long term strategy. I don't agree with your suggestion.
In time HTML5 and Canvas will offer suitable options for web applications and will run across different platforms without the need for dealing with the filter of Apple or anything else. -- autechre - ep7 - track 1: rpeg estevancarlos.com |

I agree and disagree.
Browser Gate is great for example when you use internet over PC you cant install anything in. Public libraries, coffee shops, work.
I agree. Mobile App should come with the concept without asking. From what I hear now is that CCP has encouraged some iPhone app makers to do this for free. No no no, CCP, pick up the bill and make it proper!

Don't be a dumbass. I'm saying don't take it off the browser. The post is entitled "should be a mobile app NOT browser". If you were smarter you'd understand that as you rightly say, I couldn't care less if it was an app or not. I'm saying don't ditch browser support for it.
Eugh.
