merc 5000	Posted - 2010.12.09 21:12:00 - [1] So while aping thru amarr i notice a small fight on station and to my suprise snatch victory are having to use a corp for nuetral rr. Which i have just found are the 1's paying for the war dec so is this now a viable tactic for all mercs to use nuet rr to win a fight. Thanks for youre time Merc 5000

It doesn't take any skill, and it is very risk-free and more often than not creates boring stalemates or situations where very few people die. Since these issues ranked quite highly on the CSM November Priotisation poll, I hope that CCP stops insta redocking neutral RR. That said though, Expecting a mercenary alliance to fight you on your terms and give you good fights is ******ed though, they are being paid to kill you and frustrate you as much as possible, if it means using neutral RR, they're going to do that. When I was in highsec wars prior to trinity, mercs used to deliberately CONCORD when they were going down to prevent you getting a killmail (and then never posting it), used to do login traps all the time and adjusted killboard prizes to better buff up their contract history. Nothing has changed really, people are going to abuse dubious game mechanics as long as they are not declared exploits and exist. ---

Most of the time when I have seen them with low efficiency it is because they lost one very nice ship whilst killing (numerically) loads of enemy. Having hired them in the past (yes I'm a fan!) I was impressed that they risk their nice stuff on behalf of the client, more than can be said for most who never leave docking range

Unfortunately I can't keep shooting someone after they have made a deal not to be shot at anymore. We can always put it back in though if you feel you haven't owned us enough.
