So, I created an alt character this morning and tried to set up a few things in his training cue, but it wouldn't let me. I was confused about the message that it gave me. I wasn't sure if my two characters couldn't train at all at the same time, or if they just weren't allowed to train the same skill at the same time.
Can I really not have skill training going for both characters at the same time?

You can only try one character per account. If you want to train on more than one character, you need multiple accounts.

as long as you Rember to stop training on you,re main, befour you switch to you,re alt you can then train them,
(as thiers no option to simply start trainging the second chariter while the main stops/pauses training while you,re training the alt-then when you,re back on the main if you can resume taining while the alt stops)
or you can get a second account and train them without all the/this hassel.

FYP.
You can pause training of your main character, train the alt for a while, and then resume your main's training. ___________

Edited by: Jean CatClaw on 12/12/2010 13:38:09 Dont know why so many people think this limitation is so bad..
Think about it.. take wow or any other mmo.. none of them lets you login to 2 chars from the same account on the same server, giving you the posibillity to level both at the same time.
But as previous posters said, pause the training on 1 char, then you can train a second char.

EVE doesn't let you log into two characters from the same account either.
But, as far as training skills (here) vs. gaining xp (in other games), other games do have "power of two" and "level up with a friend" type offers whereby if you bring someone in or if you have a high level alt you can put XP straight into your low-level alt as a reward. Didn't use to be like this in 2003, but other games have evolved since then, whereas EVE prefers to remain, um, vintage (UI too, btw).
