Like many of you I am a bit tired of blobs, station games and endlessly goading people into something that even VAGUELY resembles a good fight. But thus is the game of EVE we chose to play rightà?

I would like to post a proposition to the EVE Community just for the sake of gauging what your response might be. Human beings do not always respond the way that you think that they will.
Player Hosted PVP Engagements For ISK
Lets Say...
Two corporations/alliances decided to open a wardec for a few hours and then close it. They both agree on how many pilots will fight, the when and the where and on top of that they both bet ISK on who will win.
Said ISK is sent to a third party and the rest his history.
Basic rules would apply to the fight similar to the Alliance Tournament but no rules against faction mods/pirate implants exedra because that cannot be enforced anyway.

I'd be up for this and I think that it might dramatically enhance my playtime. That however is just the opinion of a single individual. So there it is, I am ASKING the EVE community if they would be interested in something like this if it was properly organized by EVE's own player base.

if it was chribba verified.. i could see this becoming very interesting.
sounds decent, sounds like a good scam though, too. fight fixing, etc.
ie: there would need to be a regulatory body that could be confirmed to be neutral.

Could be interesting, assuming appropriate measures are taken to prevent cheating (I don't know what would constitute "appropriate measures", mind you)

Say you have two Corporations/Alliances? I can see an average general pool of 1B for those of us who are not high rollers living in empire.
A theoretical 9 combatants means 111M per combatant (an even split)
Now lets try and bribe them...

How much ISK would I have to pay someone who is about to receive 111M in exchange for his horrible performance? Would he throw the fight for an extra 50M? And could bribing ONE individual guarantee success?
If I am on the opposing team I would have to pay at least 50M of my own "Hypothetical" winnings out of pocket before the fight even began. That is of course assuming that he would throw the fight for 50M (i don't think allot of people would do that) and that is also assuming that his poor flying would = an definite victory (Which I don't think it could)
If I bribed 2 people at a meager cost of 50M my winnings then drop to 11M ISK.
. . .
So for the average corporation/alliance that will not be betting tens of Billions or more.
If said team members are receiving an equal and fair share of what they win
And if their CEO/Executor is not pocketing all of it for himself
I don't think your concerns are as realistic as you are suggesting...
But yea if people start betting 20B, 50B 100B sure I can see issues there. But if YOU were to do that I would also assume that you will be choosing people who you trust to some degree.
