Pve I am going to assume mission's only, For that I would take the bs path mostly for the fact that the bs's will give you a higher dps for your missions.

Well, Its more like, Ratting plexs and anomlies(0.0, I hate missions). Cause some times i hate minmatar battleships for that stuff.

If you're living in Angel or Guristas space, then a Sleipnir will be better.
(Although A Machariel would be better than either, since it's basically Sleipnir that can fit BS size guns)

I love my Machariel, Indeed it is amazing It tore thru Angel BS in 15-20 secounds To bad i am not in angel space anymore. :(
I am split verse Sansha and Serpentis.

I'd go the BS route, more DPS (at range) and way more range with scorch or beam lasers in general. You will hate the ammo consumption and the constant need to fly close after a while with the sleip.

If you decided to cross train a second battleship might want to consider looking at some of the pirate faction ships.
If your going Amarr and Minmatar you can fly the Bhaalgorn, though you'd need large energy turret for the ship bonuses.
Machariel (Minmatar and Gallente BS skills) looks like another nice ship for large projectile turrets, though you don't get the double damage from guns extra high slot bonus.
*edit* Looks like you can already fly the Machariel, the Bhaalgorn is one of my favorite looking battleships.

Yeah, I love my Machariel, That was another option was since i already have Gallente BS4(Simply for the fact of my Mach lol)<3
