This game belongs to my mentally disabled 23 year old son who has been crying for the last three hours. When I was finally able to calm him down he was able to explain to me that he was upset over the loss of his ship in this game. This is one of the few facets of his life that he has come to truly enjoy. I would greatly appreciate it if whatever you have taken were returned to him.

I think it's reasonably safe to assume at this point that you will not be returning my son's ship to him. That's one of the better scams to try perpetrating guilt.
I'd call bs on it being true. Mentally handicapped can't wrap their head around a game like this. Pac man, maybe. Eve? No.
If he/she is coherent enough to play Eve other than just clicking things and staring at the screen while drooling and clapping then he/she is coherent enough to know this is a pvp game and the loss of ships and other stuff is part of the game. Karma for lying works the other way as well.

A few passive-aggressive responses to the emails come to mind:
(1) Acknowledge that whoever you killed indeed must have been mentally handicapped because nothing else could explain how awful he is.
(2) Note that your policy is to treat everyone equally and not give preferential treatment to disabled persons. Perhaps she should petition CCP instead, who are known to have more arbitrary reimbursement standards.
(3) Suggest WoW.
