Greetings, I am currently installing eve after being away for over a year. After browsing the recruitment forum SR&D sounds like a perfect fit for me. I didn't say you were too new to join SRD, i said you were too new to join us out in 0.0 . We have players in empire, but we don't have any ops in empire because most of our members are in 0.0. Had you not closed the convo, i would have explained it closer. But oh well.
Also, still recruiting.

I think there has been a bit of a misunderstanding. Basically Eira was (rightly) pointing out the inherent dangers of anyone working in 0.0 space particularly someone new to Eve.
However, you are most definitely welcome to apply to join the SRD as there are other members (like me) who spend a lot of their time in Empire. I would be happy for you to work with me (and others)doing mining operations/pirate hunting/agent running in Empire space. This would help you develop the skills and isk needed to eventually make the move to 0.0 to join the rest of the Corp and you'd also be helping the SRD itself in the meantime.
Anyway, it is obviously your decision but I just didn't want you to have the impression that the SRD doesn't welcome new players. It does, as I'm relatively new to the game myself and am being well looked after.
Hope this clarifies the situation.

After posting to the forums I was promptly put in touch with ShadowStrike and Eira, very organized and great bunch of folks. I was accepted into the corp and all I have to say is good things Don't hesitate to put in your application here, no matter what you enjoy doing, mining,pvp,agent missions, etc. etc.

I had the pleasure of working with Shadowstrike and Kalek in the past. They are great to work with and a lot of fun. I would imagine this is a great corporation to be in. Good luck guys! |

I have found Shadowstrike, Falcon Hunter, Kalek, Eira and all the members of the SRD friendly and always willing to help or advise me. I've learnt a great deal already.
My only concern is some of the music that appears on our Ventrilo server. If you can stand that then you won't be disappointed joining the SRD.
