Originally by: Sassaniak ... Fleet FC's and Theater commanders need to delegate authority in a clear manner, have one (or more as needed) person who's job it is to collect fleet members, post fleet adverts in Secure channels and Vets walk-ons. the actual operation of fleets should not be controlled by the same people trying to find out where to go and analyze collected intel ...
Much of this can be solved with a solid team. For the first time in six years of flying, I led a fleet into combat last night (sixty ships in Hadji). Much credit goes to the four wing commanders, three of whom I'd previously flown under the command of in prior engagements. Bearing in mind that the fleet was largely assembled on-the-fly and with low numbers of pilots available (owing to the time of night), I was very pleased to see squads formed and commanders appointed mere seconds after I selected my WCs. And because many of the fleet members had been in combat before, we had few command-and-control issues even when significantly outnumbered for an extended period of time.

A second (i am unsure of actual command line composition, not being one of the commanders) chat room dedicated to operations commands and Intel (as opposed to the open SYNEPUBLIC) might be what you are looking for, too many repeated orders by pilots in non-command positions made everything confusing ...
In a word: no. It's complex enough transcribing orders to a fleet when comm systems are erratic (as they often are during incursions). Repeating orders on multiple frequencies only adds to the confusion and leadership reaction time to new developments. From experience I can say that inexperienced pilots at incursion events need to learn appropriate comms discipline (here I note the one pilot yesterday who I observed arguing with another FC in the middle of a battle: the pilot knows who they are), and that can only be gained through continued exposure to battlefield conditions.
