Anywho. Ninja Salvage Stories. What are yours?
This can and may include Killings, Failings, Dramatic Escapes, or a combination of all. However, it is not limited to that.
Both sides of the spectrum are welcome! Hell, even if you're a bystander, tell the tale!
Well lets see... I've had a lot of fun Ninja Salvage stories over the time I was playing. However the one that stuck out the most to me, oddly enough, were Not FactionFitKillMails or even overly expensive killmails.
Story # 1
[Excuse me, I do not remember all the details]
I had just drawn aggro to a few ships, one which I know for a fact was a CNR. The other was a Drake. There were 2 others as well however I can't recall if what they were. But, I had to kill them or the ending of this story would have made no sense at all.
Warped back into the mission to spot 4 blinky ships. Luckily, I landed right on top of the CNR and the Drake. Immediately manuevering to Scramb the Raven and Web the Drake, the trusty rust bucket known as the Typhoon went to business. I recall the Drake almost insta popping. I had ECM drones on... one of the other ships. I think it was a cyclone.. a Cyclone decided to foolishly close the distance and linger into my web range. I quickly webbed it and made quick waste of him. The other unknown ship warped off I believe. Now I switched all my attention to the CNR.
Ah. Left out an important detail. There was a mass of drones that appeared early on in the engagement. Against all hi-sec pvp rules, I fitted the smart bomb and quickly made sure to eliminate hostile drones. Little did I know... the smartbomb was still running, I had effects turned off.
Now. The raven was dying quickly. KABOOM! CNR 0. Fyrarr's Typhoon - 1. However, there was no pod? This puzzled me because... I know for a fact I did not see the pod warp off. All of a sudden, multiple Concord vessels appear out of no where and rip me to shreds. D'oh! I left the smartbomb running the entire time. Pod Insta poped. -facepalm-
As fun as it was to pop the guys pod... that was NOT in my plans. Being the nice a##hole I am, I sent the guy an apology EvEmail saying that that incident after his CNR blew up was not... supposed to happen. All the better, I was laughing the entire time out of sheer amazement of how simply turning off a module would have saved me.
That was perhaps the most memorable Ninja Salvage related kill I have ever gotten. Or should I say, killed.

Once I went and started salvaging some guy's wrecks in highsec and he didn't like it but he couldn't do anything about it

Once a GM said that shooting wrecks to extend the aggro timer was an exploit and I made a huge thread in C+P about how sad that made me.

I was doing missions to get my faction with minny up so I could get more location agents. I never loot or salvage cause I'm rich already and my RMT guys (Crowd Control Productions) sells me isk for RL cash when I need it.
A Suddenly Ninja guy warped in and starting looting my wrecks.
So I pretended to ***** and moan about it like I cared heaps. Well he must have gotten really excited at my pretend tears cause he ended up looting my entire mission for me and saved me having to shoot the wrecks and cans afterwards (I do that cause I'm eco-friendly).

my CEO got me all worked up over finding a new WH and how much money we could make if we moved up to a higher class WH. So i popped into our current high sec and started scanning to see if anything was in the same system. There was, but it was just a hole to a C1...
after jumping back into high sec i hit dscan for the heck of it and found a

"OMG" i thought, "an empty nigthhawk!"
i start telling ppl that i need anyone that can fly a nighthawk as i narrow it down.
I get it and warp to it......and run into a acc gate...."uh oh"
I hop thru it and i see a noctis and a nighthawk doing a mission
i facepalmed at having just scanned down a guy that had a Nighthawk named Nighthawk. promptly left, and counted my lucky stars that everyone had ignored my announcement that i had found an empty nighthawk

i wanted to play a prank on some ninja so i fitted my ship with a cloak and started a mission that i knew would have scrammers and an easy way to agro the whole room.
after one bit i took a shot at him and he left to "kill" me with a better ship. when he jumped back into the room with two buddies i had already cloaked and had the entire room at the jump point.
two couldn't warp out and were killed by the mission NPCs. the last one did get away.
i laughed. good times, should have fraps it

Some dude in a sleipnir killed a ratter today so I followed him with my vaga and falcon characters and killed him. It really wasn't even fair but to be honest he could have disengaged and jumped through the gate if he wanted. Falcons are pretty much legitimate hacks for eve :P
Then I salvaged him and got 7 trigger units and 4 impetus consoles.

Ok, here goes!
One day, I was on a can-flipping op with some people from SN (because apparently they can't do any other sort of op. These were the only ones they ever went on when I was around) and we were talking on mumble and killing orcas and ****. Some genius decided to mention that he didn't ever go to lowsec because it's full of "scary flashy reds." I promptly lost my last remaining delusions that people in SN know how to pvp outside of bear-ganking, left the fleet, and left the corp.
Then I went and joined my old corp, solo'd out in lowsec, ran through some wormholes, occasionally killed things, got into good fights, enjoyed life, actually made some isk rather than living off loot scraps, and did a whole lot of other things more enjoyable than repeatedly pressing F1 and killing bears. Honestly, you could go to sleep doing that. Eve has since been much more enjoyable, and while I have looked hard for them, I have yet to see a Ninja anywhere near that incredible thing called 'risk.'

This one time, I was running a mission and some dude from SN shows up and, like, starts salvaging and looting my wrecks and ****.
Then, like, I finished the mission, turned it in and ran another one.
True story dude, pho weal.

Noob salvager warped to my mission,
i warped out
he got aggro, i played COD black ops for a little while, then went back and finished mission, all the time scanning me down and only got 2 large wrecks of salvage, what a scrub lmao
another time, i warped out and the guy died in my mission but that was years ago

This one time, I was ninja salvaging some dudes mission wrecks. My girlfriend came home from work and started moaning that I play too much Eve. She kept nagging and nagging and in the end I just snapped and hit her.
Unfortunately my parents had just come over to visit and walked in just as it happened. My mother started shouting at me then saying I was addicted to Eve and stuff.
It's stupid really. I got ine one little fight and my mom got scared and said you're moving with your auntie and uncle in bel-air.
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought naw forget it, yo home to belair.
I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later. Looked at my kingdom i was finally there to settle my throne as the prince of belair.

This one time a ninja-salvager jumped into my L4 WC in a blackbird (Inoue) to loot the wrecks. Must have said "great there's an Apoc navy doing a mission with catalyst salvager alt, easy pickings".
He really didn't like it when my main decloaked 5000m of his wing in a Falcon and my other alt in a Jaguar jumped in.  He jumped out without even looting any wrecks.
I know it was boring but I was game for a fight and it seems that he wasn't,  he must have wanted to club baby seals rather than face something with teeth.

So here I was rite, in my Maelstrom, rite, and then like, this Vigil warps in and starts salvaging and looting my wrecks, rite?
So leik, I warp to station, cause I'm already leik, aligned and stuff, and then warp back, and then leik, do it again when he comes back.
And when he comes back the third time, I go and get a combat Rifter and bring it back to shoot him, rite? But leik, the rats in the mission TD'd me and he didn't die cause I couldn't hit him, rite? So he warps out and I warp out, and I get my Maelstrom back with an aggro timer still on, cause liek, he seemed all noob and stuff, and I wasn't worried, rite?
But then I get back and there's leik, a Hurricane waiting for me. And then I died.
tl;dr: I leik, got ninja'd, rite?

Some guy in a thorax appeared in my Level 5. He starts salvaging and stuff, then goes all flashy on me, so I shot him with the 425mm rat-a-tat pipes on me Vaga, he went boom... His friend appeared in a rifter, started shooting me, then got himself concorded as he had no aggro...

I have a faction snipe-fit Ishtar which is quite suited for some level 4's. I was doing Buzz Kill in it from snipe point when a Probe warped in to the original jump point. He moved out to scavenge the furthest wrecks and went blinky.
Somewhat surprisingly, I alpha'd him from 170km.
He was pretty upset.
I was quite chuffed.

I scanned down a Drake and a Brutix in a mission area so I go on in my Rifter and start stealing wrecks. The Brutix shoots me so I warp out. I come back in my pvp myrmidon and as soon as I warp in they warp out. I wait a few minutes and aggro timer expires leaving me sat in the room in my myrm. Moments later both Battlecruisers arrive and lock me but as they have no aggro they do not shoot. So I steal another wreck. They both open up at once. I ECM the Drake and I finish off the Brutix sharpish. I now turn my attention to the Drake. Damn his tank is solid.
So while I am attacking the Drake the Brutix pilot returns in a Catalyst. He opens fire. However he no longer has aggro so concord fast removes that nuisance. I eventually determine that I am unable to break this drakes tank so I warp off saying GF. I have since amended my fit to improve my dps. So one dead Brutix to me. One dead Catalyst to Concord and one battered but alive Myrm for me. I convo the pilots. they seem perfectly good humoured about it so I set them blue so as not to hit them again and continue on my merry way.

My only ninja salvage / mission can flipping experience was when 3 drakes came in on me doing a L3 in my myrmidon. One of them stole something from me and I just ignored them and carried on with my mission. (All the time wondering, wow, are these guys having fun or what) After half an hour.... they went away..:/

You need to fix the first link in your url, man.
Suggestion: Remove the "new topic" button from everywhere apart from the list of topics section within a subforum.

Before the change where mission agents place missions in low activity systems, the level 5 agents close to highsec could give you the odd Level 5 that was in a highsec system.
Said change put an end to this.
