The current system forces you to launch your products to the customs office, where they can be collected in person by the appropriate owner.
Why not introduce an option, that would allow you to transport (route) your goods from the customs office, to a station of your designation (within the same system, or not) at roughly the same kind of cost (or using the same cost mechanism) of exporting goods from the planet surface, by using the NPC hauler rats that tend to spawn from time to time? The existing NPC shipping corporations like transtellar shipping could be used for this purpose. Since these corporations are based within specific systems or regions, the farther away the designated planets and routes are away from the settled areas, the greater the cost of using the NPCs to collect these goods and move them around new eden. Thus, hi sec systems would have very low transport costs, vs 0.0 systems that would have very high costs.
This mechanism would thus allow users to specify what items these hauler spawns will contain and the route that they will travel. The NPCs would still follow the same behavior as they do now, slowly warping from gates to stations and vice versa, but would also originate or travel to planetary customs offices. Ratters or other players will be able to kill these spawns and steal planetary goods as they would normal hauler spawn drops. The owner will be contacted under 1 of 2 conditions.
1) The goods have been successfully delivered and the user notified of delivery
2) The NPC's transporting the users goods has been destroyed and the user notified of his loss.
Thus, lazy PI farmers could contract NPCs to collect goods from the customs office and drop it off at a station for them, at the risk of losing these goods to ratters or gate camps at star gates if their designated routes take them through one or more stargates.

Not supported.
You shouldn't get the high yields of lowsec/nullsec without risk by using NPC haulers.

I would much prefer if I could allow another player to access my planet or at the very least, my customs office hold.

NPC haulers sound incredibly risky. The only benefit would be the ability to go off and do something else, such as praying your npc doesn't get ganked with a week's worth of cargo inside.

I agree 100% something needs to be changed to allow someone else to pickup goods from your customs office. At least allow players to contract it out for a currier and be able to launch your PI items without having to be in that system. I mean you can scan a planet light years away but cant "talk" to your office on that planet and tell them to launch some items?
