Not only that, by splitting the proceeds, you are able to bid a much larger amount then anyone else and still pay less overall which is unfair to the other bidders.

What on earth are you going on about? First of all, there is no conflict if the people who are auctioning the item get paid. Secondly, I pay exactly the same amount as anyone else who would bid so it's completely fair on other bidders. I merely get a cut of the final amount paid, which I will do whether I win or not. Conflict of interest, my arse! I do wish peeps wouldn't bandy these soundbite phrases around without understandign what they really mean.

And in any event you are just trying to make it so that a REAL bidder has to pay more than what was originally advertised. If you don't like how the aucion is going then you need to reevaluate your prices and or timing. But my bid still stands on the item I bid upon. (although I will pull out if I have to deal with the auctioneers bids as well) You may wish to rethink your tactics. And I do understand what "Auction" means. I also know what it is to "price gouge" the competition.

He is not the sole owner and it was agreed to auction all the loot we obtained. In order for him to get hold of the item for himself he must bid on it. Would it make you feel any less whiney if you imagined I was the person doing the selling, seeing as I have no intention of bidding on it?

Finally, the last Gist C-Type Large Shield Booster went for over 200 mil on this forum so all those who are OMGWTFing are looking a little stupid right about now. Bid or don't bid, it matters not to me. Because these items are going to sell one way or another.
