Used to be a decent mission. No bounties but a lot of alloy's. Haven't done it for awile and quite surprised what a piece of crap mission it turned into. Was averaging around 17 mill in reprocessed mins but now it dropped to around 7 mil. Biggest loss was zyd amount dropped from 2500 units to 700, Noc dropped from 16k to 2500, iso dropped from 30k to 15k and megacyte from 500 to 85. Salvage appears about the same.
Doesn't look like I'll even do it again. Anyone else see a big alloy drop since mission nerf?

I used to hate this mission with a passion. Once I got the Vargur, it was stupid easy to do and better then waiting on a four hours timer for rejecting the mission and getting a worse one after it (anti-faction or buzzkill). So its not terribly bad, its just not as good as Massive Attack, Unauthorized Millitary Presence, Serptinis Extravengza, Rogue Slave Trader, and Smuggler Inception which I almost always get next to the 3 drone missions.

not that bad, just blitz it, only need to kill one of the starting spawns and its respawn.

It's a top mission, paying extremely well if you know what you're doing. I could run this all day every day. Even better than Recon 1.

Read my post. I'm essentially comparing this mission to what it used to get. If you think it pays extremely well you may want to look at making and selling shuttles also.
Pray tell what is your secret to making it pay better compared to what it paid in the past?

My point was if you loot the compounds in the first place you must hate isk. You also didn't do the research, didn't do the math, couldn't be arsed to figure out what is profitable in a mission and what isn't.
My secret? Simple. Let me explain reaaaaally slooooowly: 5300LP at 2000 isk/lp = 10.6m, together with mission reward it's 12m per mission, doable in 6 minutes, that's 120 per hour. There. Done the hard work for you.

6 whole minutes? That long? U r slow, I do it in under 2 minutes, heck, sometimes I kill all 4 spawns with a single fart.

Wellà there's also travel time. I tend to get it 2û3 jumps away, and that slows things down a bit.

I know I know, low SP and general noobishness. 6 mins was 4 min flight time and 2 min to kill 1 BC and 2-3 BS and BC

The short answer for the question is: YES.
A while back, around the changes to the sov mechanics iirc, they altered the drone compound in terms of both amounts dropped and the mineral content when refined. This was part of their plan to fix insurance scams as well as trying to make mining a bit more profitable.. also included was making less meta 0 items drop from rats.. replaced with metal scraps/tags/ammo.
This is not the alt you are looking for. |

Attack of the Drones is good, but it's not even in the same league as Recon 1. Recon 1 (BR) has fewer warps (3 to 4, because it always spawns in the agent's system), more LP, and the travel time to the first gate isn't a punishment, because you're making well over 120m isk/hr off bounties/loot/salvage alone while slow-boating to the gate.

Worthless just like any other drone mission. Blitz as fast as you can!
(Okay it's a good blitz, but missions that are only worth blitzing are crap in my book  )

Worth it even moar by dual boxing with a Noctis on the second account clearing the wreck field in under 5 minutes  .

So another 6 minutes to gather in 7 mil worth of alloys from the drone Bs's is chopped liver? Still I don't use LP's except to collect dust so they have little value to me. Probably have over a million lp spread over 2 accts and and alts.
