Hi,good job on the patch. One thing have changed and one bug to report.
BUG : After first patch (15mb patch), the time between slash screen (incursion title) and logon screen (name and password form) went from 5 seconds to like 1min30 seconds. Then second small patch (4,4mb patch), download complete asking to reboot client, clic ok and then black screen directly for 8 min or more (I couldn't wait more, the Mac was obvioulsy doing nothing even the fans went in slow mode) I had to shut down my mac and reboot.
Of course new patch created a new Pref folder. Nothing new.
Next start of the game same thing about the looonnnng black screen between splash screen and logon windows (very annoying and even worse if you dual box like me). after login all seems running perfectly.

Let me know If any of you find a fix. I got to a very messy login screen with lots of screen artefacts and got to install the client patch as well, but the restart failed. Now I'm back at the black screen after a reboot of my MacBookPro 2007 OS 10.5.8 as well. |

Why am I not surprised that Adida would poke his/her nose into a damned Mac thread. Really??

This.
Go AWAI unless you are one of the CCP Mac Devs. CCP Fallout = best CCP. Period. >:|
I love the stability that I'm getting since the Incursion launch, but sweet baby jesus, I have to re-download the client again and had to do it for the initial Incursion launch because the patch shat itself and failed on the stupid foreign language files. Without looking at the fail log for this patch I would bet dollars to donuts it's failing on the same thing; i.e. the @#)($*@#)(*$@#$!!!@###!?!?! foreign language files. Why can't CCP just leave those the hell out of the client and patches and let people who need those language files download them separately? I kill all un-used foreign language files for all programs with Clean My Mac anyway (which is probably why I've been fuxored the last two patches.)

Wow, you're telling CCP employees to not visit/post in the Mac forum? That's an incredibly shortsighted new low.
Congrats, I guess.

Edited by: Adelaid on 16/12/2010 12:56:09 OK I seem to have fixed my blackscreen issue before login windows. The 2 min lag black screen issue.
I dual box 2 clients, and yesterday patch didn't fail the same way for those 2 separate clients. Yet I noticed one of them actualy lanched fast as before patch. The other kept on having this 2 minits lag blackscreen issue patch after patch. I deleted cache folder, preference folder, nothing workded.
The other client work just fine, so I duplicated it and deleted my fail client to have 2 working clients. (app and pref folders).
I no more have fubar freeze when I try to change windowed mod size.
I have a feeling the guilty is the incursion 1.0.1 patch bug. My advice, don't try to repair with ccp patches. if you don't have a clean client running well (supposing the 1.0.1 patch didn't crash) like I had (lucky me), just delete eve and start from 0 downloading the whole EVE.

Of course "If you have already saved your overviews in game, same goes with fittings.
path should be HD/USER/YOU/LIBRARY/PREFERENCES/EVE Online Preferences
this folder you can change his name before u reinstall eve so he wont be overwritted.
Once install in done, you can delete the new preference folder created and rename the old one.
Or simply copy/paste the overview seetings folder u will find inside this pref folder.

I can find the EVE Online Preferences folder, but there is no specific "overview" folder inside it. But I guess I could keep the whole preference folder. However, the idea was to make a clean install...
I can now actually log into the game, but still with serious display issues (transparancy on pinned windows are crappy and other ui-stuff doesn't work very well). I tried to export my overview setting, but cant find the exported xml-file anywhere. Well, since I couldn't see what I clicked inside the game, maybe I didn't export it at all...
Oh man, I have been annoyed by people nagging and complaining. But now I really feel their pain. Its not fun having to spend a whole lot of time figuring out how to get a paid product to work. |

Like it is explained in another thread nearby, just save your overviews or fittings with a special name and use your finder search form to find this file name. OSx will bring you in the right location.

Congrats, I guess.
Learn to read, or STFU. But here, I'll help you out: CCP devs such as Fallout and a few others are actual Mac Dev's - not forum nannies.

Problem is, there are about a half dozen threads running on this topic and not much of a reply from CCP on any of them. Stop telling us what to do and just fix the damn problem.
