Can someone please share an average total ISK figure for ore mined from different gravimetric sites? I'm wondering how much ISK can be made from probing down these sites and stripping them.

Thank you -- I looked for something like this, but apparently in all the wrong places. This will come in very handy. I don't mine, but I have clients who are miners willing to pay 'good' ISK for the coordinates of hidden grav sites. Now I know what 'good' ISK should mean.

If it was not apparent in the report, you should keep in mind that those are grav sites that only spawn in null-sec in claimed space that is upgraded with an infrastructure hub and the required further structures, as well as needing the required industry level to spawn them. So if you are looking to scout down these grav sites for them, you're going to have to look in the miner's own space (Where they should already know where the sites are!), or are going to have to look through red/neutral occupied space for them.

From my understanding the grav sites that spawn in null-sec are the same ones that spawn in high-sec and low sec. Maybe the infrastructure hubs cause the sites to spawn as opposed to being random chance. I would like clarification on this.

This.
I think it's just that in low/hisec, grav sites spawn at random, and never consistently in the same system. Aside from that, I think it's like comparing apples to apples.

I believe you're referring to what we call "true grav sites". Which spawn randomly in the world. These sites are usually quite small, but contain high end ore. Often they'll be guarded by large packs of rats, so don't fly in headfirst with a hulk. I'm not sure if the true gravs are the same in nulsec, lowsec, and hisec (because I don't imagine ABCM spawning in empire space), but it's possible.
The ihubs spawn the system upgrade grav sites, related to the "Ore Prospecting Arrays" and current industry rating. You need to have claimed sov in that system and have them installed to benefit from this. These installed grav sites will be stable and will always be there (if the system is at the appropriate industry level), that is what the report is about. I'm sorry I don't have more information about true grav sites --------------------------- Full Explanation of the Industry Index System |
