Raven class is so ugly. It give me feeling it's fat, and short. Because of the unbalanced shape with a big head on the front.
Give it a comparison to the Caldari battleships, it is the worst ship ever. (Even before the scorpion overhaul)
Also, I noticed the new ships that came out recently went a completely different design path, just wordering when is the turn for Raven class

While it certainly isn't a priority, I personally feel the Raven is fugly as well, and that is the primary reason I have avoided training up Caldari BS.

L2Vargur or Mach and Golem is a giant Asymetical Bird of Prey that spams Torps.

I like the way the raven looks, now if only they would bring back the old cnr model, that thing was awesome. black with some big ass launchers on the front, god damn I miss that ship.

I feel confident that CCP can deliver fantastic art assets for every ship in the game, and that those art assets will be superior to the previous ones. Eventually. I for one do not miss the old Scorpion hull. Also, do not speak of the 'Helios'. My poor ****d ship model.

I would like to see Raven shape changed.
On another note, if you like shape or not atm, can we all agree that the textures reallly need an upgrade, i think they look hideous....mind you that is the case with most of the ships.
Try looking up the front of the hurricane from the nose!!

I guess CCP could make the Raven look like a large black bird?  , but then what would they need to do for the Black Bird Cruiser?

I have caldari BS 5 and I refuse to use the raven, it makes me wana spew when i see it, Rokh is where its at, needs to be bigger tho :P
New scorpian isnt that great either, i thought caldari were about **** being made well and for a purpose, not looks (i know i did just complain about the ravens but i dont care). I think theres a huge ****ing flaw in having that tail thing, just shoot that and the ship loses all ecm or whatever thats for, and imagine trying to get to the top floor from the mess hall at the bottom when some ship warps in and attacks them. Would be spending atleast 10 mins in the elevator while being pew pewed. Drop the tail lower and the shield systems wouldnt have to work so hard either

The Raven needs better textures but I think it's also possible to improve the model, while keeping the asymmetry typical of most Caldari ship designs, of course.
The new symmetrical Scorpion is nice, though. But there's a critical flaw in its new design: its edges are hugely beveled. This makes what should be a huge spaceship appear like a frigate. The scorpion-like shape isn't ideal to convey the sense of hugeness to begin with (observe that bigger RL vehicles tends to be very long, not just scaled up version of the smaller ones) but I didn't mind that much for the sake of variety. Now the softer edges and fewer details makes this worst.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice model... for a frigate.
I hope other redesigns will take those details into account.

I love the raven model. It's bulky, ugly and full of utilitarian goodness ready to dispense bright explody dots for the minimum price. It does what you expect from a battleship without any extra chrome the other races have spent on their ships, which fits the caldari design philosophy.

The Raven is fugly when you first see it. But it slowly grows on you until you realize it's a monstrous slow moving demon spiked bird of prey.
Besides, if you really want to fix ugly, do something about the Brutix. It looks like a giant poo with tampon wings.

Don't even touch the Raven until you fix the Blackbird, the single ugliest ship in the game. Then the Dominix, then MAYBE the Raven.

Here's how I'd like to see the Raven hull changed. All minor, in my opinion.
1) Make equal the wings. The left should be the same size as the right. Though perhaps move that protuberance from the right to the left, to kinda balance it out against those spiky radial things beneath the right wing.
2) Pull in those spiky radial things beneath the right wing just a bit, to make them smaller and less distracting from the size of the right wing - the two shouldn't compete for space or attention in my opinion.
3) Make thinner or perhaps remove or replace those two tubes, one beneath in the front right of the ship and the other beneath in the rear left. The size of the tubes makes the ship feel smaller. Also, they give a vulnerability to the ship as they look relatively delicate when compared to the rest of the ship.
4) Remove the giant windshield like texture on the apparent ****pit of the ship and replace it with rows of smaller windows. Would greatly enhance the sense of size and scale to the ship.
5) Maybe thicken the neck connecting the ****pit. It looks far to thin and delicate.
6) Center the model along the central line running from ****pit to engine.
Just my 2 ISK. For the record, I do love the Raven hull. I feel the use of the word "majesty" in the description is appropriate.

After seeing what happened to the scorpion (Went from being distinctive to being a coat hanger) I'd rather not have CCP redesign the Raven.
