Jita is a recognized hub of trading. Since Concord is supposed to be the protectors in high sec systems, it seems they would be more aggresive in defending against suicide ganking which I believe to be an element that is a hack in the game. Jita is a special case and I think deserves special attention.
Some thoughts may be: 1) Concord destroys those that loot from wrecks that are not their own. 2) There is a no-loitering zone within 10KM of station or Concord Shoots. (like in basketball, 3 seconds in the key and its a penalty) 3) Provide "intel" on conditions outside before undocking. (warn of the risk at least) 4) Guns are inoperable within 5KM of a station.
Anyway, this is just a thought. I have lost ships just trying to get out of a station and congestion/lag killed me with no chance to even put a a fair fight.

Yes clearly shooting at someone's spaceship in a game that is about shooting at people's spaceships constitutes "hacking", those responsible should be banned forever and preferably waterboarded by the CIA.

Incorrect.
Concord punishes the 'wicked' while your thoughts are preemptive, vindictive, and ill advised with how the game works and doesn't work as in the next time you hit dock your ship warps to a station and takes more than 3 seconds to dock, or gets hung up on the station trying to warp.

Jita and any other trade hub for that matter should become less and less safe as more ppl use it.
It might help to stop the system overload!

Suicide ganking is explicitly intended and supported. If CCP didn't want players illegally shooting each other in hi-sec, then it would be extremely simple for them to simply disallow these actions rather than have a complex system of punishments and consequences.
Your "beliefs" are not a factor in balancing the game. Signed, Pheusia |

I'd love to see jita become lowsec (maybe null with the amount of traffic it gets )

I agree. Make it unsafe and the traders will move to other systems and might spread the trade around the galaxy not limiting it to a single system

I hear the Sansha fraggles don't like fleet lag any more than players. Can't see them touching Jita for that reason (and it's in the script).

Funny thing is that Jita is the most dangerous system in all of New Eden. When you view the map statistics on how many ships have been destroyed in the last 24 hours Jita lights up like a super nova. Edited by: Twisted Xistance on 26/01/2011 11:32:43 I think concord should get its act together and get tough on crimeinals, I mean criminals!
Concord waiting for people to commit crime simply isnt working, so they should just assume that everyone is planning crime. Blow everyone up and pod them repetedly Concord!!! (remember a pod afloat if a criminal boat)
We should all just live in the stations and never leave, our ships can remotely fly podless to trade and such like as we hide behind thick walls and locked doors guarded by our Concordian protectors, CCTV survailence monitoring us 24/7 to make sure were not planning some kind of crime....... the perfect society -First there was nothing then there was Xistance, then it all got kinda Twisted- |

No, suicide ganking is not a hack, it's a feature. And entirely working as intended, which is to make elite EVE players feel superior to WoW's players.

Yeah if there is one thing that would improve WoW it'd be suicide ganking.
Back in the day I was looking at both Eve and WoW as a potential MMO to play, and the reason I chose Eve is that I can shoot anything I want, wherever I want, whenever I want.
Just look at PUGs (Pick Up Groups). In WoW if a bunch of pubbies are incompetent you can whine on chat for an hour or so with your impotent elven rage. In Eve if the pubbies are incompetent then they all die in an incursion and you can scoop their loot in a noobship!

Personally I'd rather see Jita's sec status dropped to 0.4 or lower, would solve the congestion problem overnight and would also give people like the OP something to really complain about rather than wasting time producing threads like this one.

Do you work for the police? cos with that idea it sure sounds like you do. How will that solve the problem? Traders would obviously just pack up and more on to/or create another (jita scale) trade hub, cos they would just loose way to much isk if they stayed in a 0.4 system. here is the solution, if u dont like all the ganking then dont trade there! there are plenty off other trade hubs going u know!

My dear sinisterdave I don't trade there, or anywhere I just have a very long standing and not altogether rational hatred of Jita.
