Hi all,
I'm looking for the most optimal AFKlawl boat to mine ice in. I've been directed to the Mackinaw, but have never ice mined myself. Can someone help me with an appropriate fitting to maximize my lazyness?

Dream Boat? hardly. you must not have read any of the test server forum where we complained about the removal of bonuses to yield and resistances. If you want to maximize your "laziness" you will not be maximizing income.
It mines more slowly now than it did before.. meaning that if you had an orca and a few macks in the belt you are now making less than you used to.. Solo you don't have to haul as often but so what; if you had an orca you weren't leaving the belt before anyway.

As a industrialist and miner my personal recommendation would be, do level 4 missions, you will make more isk/hour and can buy ice products with some left over. If you want to lazy afk, get a hyper tanked rattlesnake to do the mission. |

Buy Mackinaw.
Buy Ice Miners or something that say; "Hey I mine ice" in the description.
Buy rigs that increase ice mining yield or whatever
Buy some kind of ice mining laser upgrade

Put an ice rig in it, put ice miners in it, put as many ice harvester upgrades as you can. Add tank if you are still able.
Alternatively, tank it. Shield rigs, shield extender, damage control unit, all that good stuff.
I use both set ups, depending on how often I want to hit d-scan. |

Lazy mission runner over here.
Overtank the rattlesnake , damage control and 450-550 DPS later your on your way to being just as lazy as I am.
No but seriously, they make excellent Dual boxing ships, 1 box Rattle the other Anything else you want, start a Merchant Maybe? |
