I, like many players on the forums have stated, had started to become a little bored with EVE. The monotonous NPC'ing, the blob wars, the mind-numbing mining process. Then I set EVE back to fullscreen and actually turned on the music again - and wow did that make a difference. I personally love the EVE music. To me, it makes the game feel much more.. "involved" (for lack of a bette word).
To the point!
I'd love for anybody with music remixing abilities to try to come up with a few good remixes of the EVE soundtrack, especially "Red Glowing Dust" and "Below the Asteroids." I think it would help spice up the game a bit.
Just a request to the EVE community. Have fun and fly safe. á

I dont know about copyrights, but I support the idea... The ingame music is the best Ive seen in many games Ive played but yes, after a while it gets borring and a breath of fresh air would be much welcomed... TY.

red glowing dust for the win. I've had to run with sound disabled since last patch though... ____________________________ Waiting to cut out the deadwood. Waiting to clean up the city. Waiting to follow the worms. |

I dunno if I'd say it's the best. I remember when I first started playing I hated the music with a passion (Except for Below the Asteroids, that's a cool one.) Now, after having it burned into my mind while spending countless hours playing the game or having the game shrunk while surfing the net, I like the music. I still say there are games with a lot better music, though. Dark Reign and Total Annihilation were particularly blissful. Oh and Homeworld. Homeworld had superb music.

There are songs there that are simply classic, really. They all start very slow, which is why people often don't bother listening to them. But songs that I often play are Cost of Conflict, EVE of Battle, Amongst Allies, I Saw Your Ship and Last Power Cell.
Below the asteroids is good, of course, but it's not as atmospheric as the rest.
