Hate? Nothing more than a little bit of common sense. A little jaded common sense, but common sense nonetheless.
Also, why not sell those 39k robotics, right now? The amount is not even 15% of daily Jita, the price is right.
Normally collateral would be things that are hard to move, not something that gets sold in 2 hours of trying.

Nice explicit statement of third party terms VV! Expect me to cut and paste next time I do some third party work. Also great to see the insurance scheme at work. Looks like a valuable addition to the bond and loan market.
Kei, I'll send the isk through once VV has posted that she has the collateral. Should be tonight (wife willing) but otherwise tomorrow morning eve time.
On the subject of liquid isk collateral, I'm more than willing to provide loans on those terms but you have to admit there is something odd about you sending me 2bil and me then sending you back 2bil with the expectation of interest. It works for me but given the business sense of it it isn't too surprising that people might pass comment.

I created this because I wanted to post suggestions on the other thread (CAI bond iirc) about you adding more clauses in the future but then I decided that would have been rude and would have looked like I was flaming potential competition.

It's part of my long term (years) agenda of bringing EvE finance to an higher level. In fact as you can see I did not ask for a fee and have issued a very small insurance fee for the involved risk. This is because I am not going to see stagnant market forum moving if I don't introduce new concepts at my expense.

I received collateral (39K Robotics) and insurance fee. If you want I can post a contract screenshot or something.

~~~~WEEK ONE UPDATE~~~~
Esteemed readers of Market Discussions, I am pleased to announce that this loan is now a full 7 days matured. As promised, a weekly report is now to be published, to include tidbits of information.
So how is the bond doing!?!?!?! -Glad you asked, it's doing quite well, thanks.
No seriously, how is it doing!? -Oh you want specifics, well... in that case... It looks like we are currently up by about 14%. I've so far covered the amount I need to pay back to RAW23 and the nonrefundable collateral insurance. Not too bad considering the holiday and time with family that I wasn't .01 ISKing away.
Any particular successes? -Well, nothing spectacular yet. No amazing misclicked buy orders in my favor for a bajillion ISK. No crazy market manipulations. Only minor hopping along for the ride of market manipulations with other manipulators, specifically a short-lived manipulation of the Dominix, which played out pretty well even though I wasn't really involved.
Best profit on one single item? -34M after fees.
Worst buy? -3 Mackinaws which each sold 4M under buy price.
How do I currently feel about my collateral of 39k units of Robotics??? -Well, so far so good. Robotics has not plummeted, but it also has not gone up much. I had expected it to go quite a bit up. I'm praying the next major patch decides to leave PI alone so my collateral will hit 100k instead of 48k.
Is there a goal for the next week? -I would like to see a 20% increase this week in the worth of this bond.
How will I do that? -If I told you, you would likely sabotage my plans, wouldn't you? I don't want that.
And with that... bring on the hate ;)
Questions?
About your collateral in Robotics, it's covered by Insurance Policy MRVAHCOIN012.
The next bonds I might issue a new contract that also covers the issuers or allows for liquidation or hot swap of collateral at Insured's request. - Auditing & consulting
Thanks for the heads up. I'd be interested in hearing details of your plans for allowing liquidation or hot swap of collateral in the future.
A rough draft for a general insurance policy swap clause:
- Prerequisite: in any case the Other Party must provide a written statement where they explicitly accept the swap.
- You are entitled to one free swap / change per month. More than one swap involves a fee based on a % of the collateral.
- In any case you will sustain every and all the expenses tied to the swapping (i.e. if there is something to courier).
- You are always allowed to swap to new BPOs (considered almost depreciation free) to resell at slightly below NPC price. Those BPOs will have to be held in one of the 4 main racial faction hubs (Amarr, Dodixie, Jita, Rens) for best speed of liquidation in a worst case scenario.
- If you choose not to stick with BPOS, you are NOT automatically allowed to swap to new commodities of your choice. The Insurer will have to prepare a risk profile that will be accepted and signed by the Three Parties. In case the new collateral has an higher risk figure, the Insured will have to balance the difference in premium first.
What time is it!?
Time for the week 2 update!
What you need to know:
-This week the bond surpassed the goal set last week of improving on last week's total by 20%. In fact, the bond was able to barely clear 30% improvement on last week's total worth of the bond.
-Slight expansion of involved markets took place.
-Not to prematurely declare my first stroll into the woods a success, but I'm happy with how this is turning out.
How am I feeling about my collateral now?
The buy price of robotics is higher than when I bought it, so I guess I'm not sad yet. Things seem to be looking up so far, so I'm hoping CCP makes an announcement that will miraculous boost the worth of robotics (and hell... guidance systems).
All the same, perhaps I should have gotten ahold of some BPOs and tried to have them researched while being held or something (ship production is looking profitable...) ... will likely not attempt such a risky collateral in the future.
What's in store for the next week with this bond?
I'll be looking for another solid 20-30% improvement for the third week. I may dabble in some hauling this week as well.
PI gets a metric ton more accessible with Incursion. Where on earth do you think robotics are going...
Edited by: Kei Darker on 14/01/2011 02:14:28 Why, it's time for yet another update.
Things are going quite swimmingly. Despite a near catastrophe hauling large amounts of rocket fuel, the bond is on track to produce most excellent returns.
Highlights for the week:
-Broker + Transaction fees for the week: 48 Million.
-Highest Profit Item: Hyperion
-Interesting tidbit: I missed a giant profit on rocket fuel by mere seconds. I knew I should have not made a sandwich before doing that haul.
How do I feel about robotics: I honestly don't think they are going to plummet when Incursion 1.1 gets here, but I'm not exactly happy with the robotics collateral either. I was really hoping it would perform.
Oh, and the plan for the following and final week of the bond is as follows:
-stop creating new buy orders.
-Sell off all assets associated with the bond (using sell orders per usual).
-Repay RAW23 + interest of 5% for a total of 2,100,000,000. Collect collateral.
-Start bond #2
^^ this report kind of sucks. What information should be included in reports?
Looks like a good report to me. Hard numbers are always interesting but are not easy on a weekly basis. And you got some good tidbits in there as well as a profit. Well done.
I've decided on a slightly early payout for this bond. The reason being that I had stopped placing buy orders this week and finished all but a handful of the sell orders already at this point, just to have a good idea of the total ISK produced by this bond/loan in this month.
The results are in, and the total ISK in the corp wallet, which started at 2,000,000,000 ISK finished at roughly 3,300,000,000 ISK.
Most trading was station trading. There was a small bit of hauling, mostly successful, but with one bout of being beat to profits by another hauler.
I deviated with this bond from my normal trade items, and managed a larger volume of trades than I have in the past, varying from anywhere between 20 and 105 active orders. I also experimented with regional buy orders to little success, though one notable exception was a Charon bought 7 jumps out, still in hi-sec for 662M. That was a hefty profit.
My robotics collateral managed to hold its value. That's good I suppose. It didn't hit 67k like I thought it might. It still looks like it will be going up again, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen soon. I haven't decided yet whether I will hold the robotics once I receive them back or sell them.
The bond has now been paid out for the amount of 2,100,000,000 to RAW23.
Next up: Bond 2.
