Hello fellow eggflyers, 0.0 Hustlers, and lowsecgangsters with a big stash in the trunk...
I just returned after a 3 years absence from eve and try to get my stuff together again. When i left in 2008 I specialized in Trading some narcotics / processors and stuff from/to 0.0/lowsec into highsec altogether with some profitable buy/sell orders. I was rather succesfull with it and made much more than i lost in the process.
What i wonder though is that they changed the whole mechanic of trading, but how ? Something involved with the daily downtime as well which i dont recall. (Did the prices back then reset or something ?)
However i'm not asking for profitable routes, i never gave mine away as well hehe. I'd rather like to know how the money today is made and if some veteran who is longer than 2008 in the trading game could enlight me with the "This has changed - for dummies" part. (we are talking about 1/bill turnovers per day back then with one single char and hauler in a noob skilled char(ya i know, i'm proz))
Thx alot.

I don't recall what changes they made over the whole time, but the two that stand out to me (and probably are most relevant to you) are the conversion of a substantial number of NPC goods (particularly fuel components for POS) to player produced goods and the development of jump freighters.
