Hey I was wondering if anyone uses the cruor much and how well it does in solo / small gang group. If anyone could give me advice on how to use it well and the right fit for it, I would greatly appreciate it.

They're on the test server now if you want to check them out, 100isk each. Very hard to get other than t2/meta4 fits on Sisi though. |

I own a Cruor... and I must admit... it's slightly gimped.
[Highs] Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I Dual Light Pulse Laser II (Scorch) Dual Light Pulse Laser II (Scorch)
[Mids] Small Capacitor Booster II (150 charges) 1MN Afterburner II Federation Navy Stasis Webbifier
[Lows] Damage Control Unit II Imperial Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane 400mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
[Rigs] Small Ancillary Current Router I Small Trimark Armor Pump I Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Notes: I order to be faster (i.e. fit a MWD) you MUST give up a good chunk of your tank... and on such an expensive hull that is something I have so far been unwilling to do. You NEED that cap booster to maintain power... otherwise you cap out. However, it takes up a valuable slot that could be used for a scram/disruptor. You COULD take off the guns and throw on some Nos's so you don't need the cap booster... however then you give up your DPS and can't kill anything.
Overall... Like the Retribution this is NOT a solo ship. You NEED dedicated tackle/DPS. However, unlike the Retribution the Cruor has some pluses that make it a welcome addition to a gang... namely, that 90% web that reaches out to 18km overheated. _______________________

What? with 2x bonussed small NOS, and no repper? How do you cap out? Mine is fine without a booster, and I have a repper. This thing laughs at medium neuts. The 2 bonussed nos on this thing sucks as much cap as 3.5 normal small nos.

not valuable, essential.

you've got 4 highs, and you can only fit two guns, you already have 2x bonussed nos sucking as much as 3.5 normal smal nos, and your fit doesn't even have a repper...

You have no idea what you're talking about. A cruor can easily take down cruisers and BCs, even when they have neuts fitted. It is not suited for taking on faster ships that can kite it outside it's webrange, but that's why, as with any ship, you pick your targets. The retribution is not a solo ship because it only has one midslot. This ship has 3.

I don't active tank any of my ships. Ever. Too many bad experiences (that and I honestly believe that it's not very useful on a frig).
As for the Nos part... how are you able to do DPS without any turrets? Or do your fits forfeit the Neuts in favor of Nos? I personally believe I can do more damage utilizing neuts. _______________________

Active tanking not useful on a frig!? psh...
Here is the fit I roll with, specifically for solo, it's no good otherwise.
[Cruor, New Setup 2] Internal Force Field Array I Coreli C-Type Small Armor Repairer Heat Sink II
Faint Warp Disruptor I Federation Navy Stasis Webifier Gistii B-Type 1MN MicroWarpdrive
Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S [empty high slot] Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch S
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
It's a unique beast, orbit / keep-at-range at 15-16km, pin em down with the overheated web.
You can see it used in the vid in my sig.
