it has always been the case that sniper rules in multiple item auctions only apply to the specific item -this would be the 'fair' way to do it.

ok due to a mix up, i shall alow the auction on items 3 & 4 to carry on until 22:15GMT there will be no sniper rule and the current bids before 21:00 GMT stand hence:
3] Kaikka's Modifield Cruise Missile Launcher - 55mil (Dammsugaren)
4] Dread Guristas 425mm Railgun - 35mil (gr7Hug)
the rest of the items are no longer available to anyone but the winning bidders.

LAME!
in this auction their are 5 items, 5 different prices, therefore sniper rule should not be blanket over all because the dude did not bid on everything, only two items.
Those items got sniped, therefore they should be extended. The other auctions closed without incident.
You just want more money so you extended the auction.
lame lame lame... dont expect business from me or my corp again

whoop, you can still bid 50 million. or if you can't afford a reasonable price for a good module then accept the loss. i've had it with people who pay to little in auctions just because they were there at the right time.

Edited by: gr7hug on 21/01/2005 22:49:32 Ive had it with people screwing with the rules they lay down so they get more isk. Not to mention people like you who allow people to do it on some kind of technicality....
you were late, i watched the auction until it was "finished" but no...
and you say 35m is too little for this module... well it has 5km range bonus on a proto, nothing more that makes it that much more valuable.... protos can be bought for sub 35m
theres the reason i wont bid more.

it has never been set if sniperrules were applied, applied to a single item or at the whole batch.
seller decides

First off I didn't bid on this auction. I'm adding my comment from an outside perspective.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time...no really it is.
Saks placed a bid on only 2 items and therefore the sniper rule should only get applied to those items. This is the way auctions are run. The sniper rule is put in place to prevent a player from entering a bid just before the end time. Since a bid in this case only applies to each item seperately the sniper rule therefore only applies to each item. It really isn't rocket science.

However, ignoring your hissy fit, and after having read the posts again looking at time lines. Item 3 and 4 should close at their prices bid prior to 21:00. Item 3 55mil and Item 4 35mil.

right... says the one who benifits from exploiting a technicality...
If you look at it logically, the sniper rule is used to gain maximum oppertunity for seller and buyer on items with lots of interest, like the shield boost amplifier in this auction, which someone bid on within the last minute of the auction.
There were no bids on the railgun within the last 15 mins, therefore it should be concluded that the gun did not have enough interest in it to go up further in price, thus the auction should have ended at the stated time.
If you wanted the item you should have bid on it before the auction closed, as everyone else did.
but wait... the seller benifits from this "confusion" so why on earth would he use the rules how they are intended?
