The download links for Sisi are down for mac to patch to 216164. (see http://cdn1.eveonline.com/test/mac/evepremiumpatch215538-216164_test-mac.tgz as an example)
Not sure anyone is reading at this hour but I thought I'd post anyway.

I doubt the full will work cause all it is, is a tq build you have to patch using the dead link. ------------------

None of the Sisi mac patches for any date seem to be working Tried some links for old patches to no avail. Blank browser page opens but nothing downloads... tried downloading the full Sisi build and got a corrupt file error when trying to unpack it. Please give this some attention CCP!

The corrupt file issue can be solved. Have a look at this.

fresh install is working, altough it seems sisi is limited to about 200 players, as there is a permanent queue.

Edited by: Tippia on 25/12/2010 00:08:00 I've actually finally managed to get mine to workà
First of all, my guess is that since they're now using "repair" style patching (i.e. it creates hashes for the entire client and downloads and replaces any file that doesn't match the hash for the current build), any old (or new, as it were) client patch will do.
I got my hands on this one, and it downloads and runs the patching process at leastà
àhowever, I haven't bothered to check whether it actually picks the right build. Like I said, my guess is that it just picks what files the server tells it to pick once the hashing process is done. Try it and see what happens. What I've done instead that has kept me from testing this myself is this: I heard the full test install was working, so I went for that one instead. It downloaded and ran just fineà
Once. Then it stopped working. So I tried it again and it ran onceà and then stopped working. Some fiddling around later led me to this conclusion: the Sisi app can no longer be called anything else than "EVE Online.app" or the app throws an exception. It seems like someone has accidentally hard-coded a path in there somewhere, and it unsurprisingly spews chunks if this doesn't match with the actual path of the files. And yes, I'm going to bug report this after finishing this post.
So:- Try the not-quite-right-build patch above and see if it works.
- Create a copy of the TQ app as usual, but make sure not to use the renamed copy for your SiSi patching (I used to rename mine, quite simply, "EVE Online SiSi.app" and patch that one, but when I tried it with these new builds, it exploded instantly) ù instead, keep the copy as "EVE Online TQ.app" or some such and run normal EVE from that one.
- Use the patch on that original, non-renamed EVE Online.app and see if it patches ok.
- Run it and see if it has the right build and if it does indeed connect to SiSi.
àand then report back.
And I repeat: make sure you save your TQ install under some other new and interesting name. Maybe even twice, just to make sure muscle/patch memory doesn't screw you over. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Thanks for the tip Tippia (lol), that patch worked wonderfully, without having to download the full client.

NP. I'd even suggest keeping that file around for future builds, if they keep this system, since it should work just as fine as long as CCP feeds it checksums and new files in the format it expects.
Also, I've updated my post to mirror more recent discoveries and make my mysterious situation a bit clearerà hopefullyà ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |
