Background
Around this time last year the venerable CVA together with the honorable providence holders led a noble effort to bring deliverance to select systems of Catch. Which at the time was ostensibly claimed by Against ALL Authorities, suffice to say things did not go as planned and Amarrian law and order was not only revoked from those select systems but also from the whole of Providence. As a last insult the pilots of AAA sieged the final CVA outpost in Providence with an all Matari fleet.
Fast-forward
It seems that such insults are easily forgotten by those loyal to the Empire since recently, Aralis, the leader of the crusade to restore Providence to Amarrian law has been spotted lighting a cyno for and fighting along side the very people who violently removed Amarrian order from Providence. What is this meaning of this? Has CVA betrayed its own values?

Not at all. The operation you outline was in furtherance of our objectives in reclaiming Providence for the Empire. Temporarily cooperating with a hostile organization for mutual gain is nothing new for CVA, and we'll continue to do so as necessary.
Good luck in your own campaign for survival.

* The Cosmopolite reads the original post, reads Garreck's response, digests the implications and then chuckles throatily...
Always useful to gain such insights, Garreck. As you have sometimes remarked, for people who fight out of conviction there are not so many real differences in practice except those demarcated by their respective convictions.
That said, for special reasons, I take particular pleasure in the specific details of this demonstration of the inevitable truth that the ends justify the means.
* ... The Cosmopolite chuckles once more, softly this time, and closes the GalNet connection.

My own thoughts on this sort of policy have been made known in the past.

Sorry to disappoint, not mad. Just wondering why CVA would choose to ally itself with a dying horse that had insulted Amarr not too long ago.
No matter how many cynos are lit for these infidels it will not change the fact that we have taken the Initiative.
CVA should choose its allies better.

CVA chose her allies that fight I am guessing, based on a history of knowing what -a- are capable of and what they can do. If anything, this has raised my respects for them, as they don't cling uselessly onto something that would set back the reclaimation.
In any case, that "Dying horse" is tearing through your space. It's probably CVA's choice to work with someone who will be a powerful neighbor then side with people who will no longer be near their region.
However, I am not a member of cva, so those are entirely my thoughts.
They are however a decision that I believe was a correct one.

Edited by: Lyn Farel on 25/12/2010 01:19:48 Although I have always supported The CVA in any way, I can also understand the concerns exposed here.
Take care not to end like UK and... -A-, actually. I have to admit that sometimes worries me, especially as CVA sympathizers we all hate -A- and the likes. |

I would expect a question like that would come from a corp who had been aligned with the same point of view regarding 0.0 politics, but look at yours corp history i don't understand also how u go from a NC corp into a NC enemy corp. CVA politics are CVA politics, it means their own business, and IMH opinion instead of try to drama lama this issue here in the forum, you may go into a Channel called CVA diplo and most defenely you gonna find aralis himself most of the time there so u can make that same question to him.

My interest stems from what I've read here and the news about the providence conflict. I never thought -A- and CVA would ever be amicable again based on how things ended and the heated posts on both sides.
I didn't think kissing and making up were in the cards at all but I guess people were not as bitter as they seemed.
